Hi, I just had my doppler ultrasound and it showed that I have a very low blood inflow for my age. I have been struggling with ED ever since I became sexually active. Pills don’t work enough so I currently have 2 options: the injections or the implant. Since I am very young it is likely that sooner or later the injections will also stop working or cause serious damage to my penis. Would you still go for the injections or would you skip ahead and go for the implant?
I have 3 questions about the implant:
1) a vaccuum pump can make ur erection feel “cold” is this the same for an erection created by the implant since the erection isn’t created with blood?
2) my urologist says the erection with an implant will feel much less nice compared to a natural erection or one with injections, for people with an implant, do you agree?
3) my urologist says that I will need several replacements since I’m so young, she said that the first replacement is ok but after that it becomes much harder and much larger chances of complications. Do you think this should stop me? I will of course choose a very experienced surgeon such as dr eid
Any advice or ideas are welcome!

1) the erection can feel "cold" (less hot than a natural erection) of you just pump it up when you are not aroused and naturally engorged, but for me if I've taken Cialis and am aroused and pump up, I get a lot of engorgement to my dick and it feels hot like a natural erection
2) sure a 100% natural erection without injection or implant or any ED at all is the best. For me, injections were extremely painful and not fun at all. This was using PGE1 injections. Trimix was slightly less painful but still not great, and trimix causes even more scarring. For me the implant erection is much better than injection.
3) Dr Eid has told me he's never had a patient reach "end of the road" with implants where he could no longer install another one due to too many previous implants. I've never heard anyone on here have problems.with multiple revisions getting worse either, and there are definitely members here who have had several implants in so far.
I may be biased because I made the decision at age 31 to go for the implant, but it has been great and life changing so far, over a year in.

Re: Need advice
My implant feels almost as natural as my former erections. Nothing will ever beat a natural erection, but the implant at least helps having a working penis and not just a floppy hose to pee from.
Yes, it gets warm with stimulation, and it is warm when I inflate because the saline is in the reservoir in my body.
You may need replacements, but future implants will be better and better.
As far as pills and injections, I hated both. But that's all I knew. If I knew then what I know now it would have been straight to the implant.

I wish I had never used injections - I developed Peyronies shortly afterwards and their performance is now greatly reduced. If using insurance they may require you to try them as a last resort before they pay.
Born 1956. Peyronies + venous leak. Implanted 12/12/23 Dr. Clavell penoscrotal. Proximal = 10cm, right distal = 12.5cm, left distal = 12cm due to Peyronies. 1 0.5cm RTE on the right. 125CC reservoir filled with 110ml saline. Titan OTR.
Re: Need advice
If you're young and dating an implant is your best choice, no contest. Relying on Trimix is a huge burden.
Fifty-one years old. ED started at age forty. I took Cialis for eight years and used Trimix for almost three. Implanted 12/6/22 by Dr. Jonathan Clavell. AMS 700CX 21cm.
Re: Need advice
One can't be blamed for trying injections before an implant -- it's easier, way less invasive and way less expensive -- and works for most guys. I did it.
And for lots of guys they can continue injecting for years without problems.
But injections can also be a major cause of scarring and curving. And also ,their effectiveness can decline leading to using stronger and stronger Trimix mixes till they are no longer effective. That was my experience.
So as been said, injections are a roll of the dice. Personally my dice came up snake eyes after only 8 months of injections, and due to massive scarring my implant surgery was very difficult and lengthy, according to Eid.
Just my personal view and personal experience.

You have to feel comfortable making the decision to go w the implant. Injections were no fun. Sometimes they worked really really well and sometimes not.
I didn't want to do them long terms because of scaring and I did develop a lump in my penis due to the injections (scar tissue) after a year so that was one of the main reasons to go for the implant.
That said I would give them a try even for a short period so you know that you have exhausted all options before surgery.

(edited for focus. Answers to your other questions to follow later)
You sound like what is known as "arterial insufficiency" which is treatable (and used to be customarily treated with) arterial bypass. If it works, you will be able to get natural erections (and all the advantages they have over implant erections). Discuss with your urologist.
I note that there are a lot of good answers to your questions that can be found by cruising through old posts. Many good answers are from members who are no longer active, so might not come to you. And you get them faster. I read through several years of posts when I first joined FrankTalk (took a couple weekends - and was well worth the time as I was VERY hungry for information) and got a bolus of information that was truly inspiring.
