I am just curious if anyone has the thread to( or knows about) the longest life anyone got out of an implant as posted here on FT
Does the durability seem to have a correlation with how often the implant is used ?
Thanks
Longest life
Re: Longest life
My Titan lasted about 12 years before it quit working. As to frequency of use, I never used it, not even once. Inflated it rarely, maybe a couple of times a year.
Dave, 80, Maryland - Implant (Titan) 2008 by Dr. Andrew Kramer (failed Sept 2020) - never used due to a stroke that, among other things, ended my sex life.

The search in the upper right is your friend. Many questions like this one have been asked many times in the past and you can get a bunch of different answers.

While I'm sure that this line of questioning is important to you & others. The truth is that you won't get much information.
Just look at the basic ED occurence curve & that only relatively recently has insurance started to cover them. Implants were first mainly put into old(er) men. Reality is that old men die. There is undoubtedly thousand of perfectly functioning implants in graveyards in the USA at least. The use of implants is just now slowly being put in men that could have a decent chance of reporting long term use. Btw, my father in law was buried with his. Semi rigid as I recall.
Then, despite this forum existing. Lots of men have better things to do than post about their implant. In other words, they aren't here because they don't have a reason to be here. Posters here are mainly looking for implant advice. Whether it is a new install or someone needing a revision. Try going back in the history 5 years. You'll see posts from men that don't visit FT anymore.
To give you a partial answer. I've ran into a member looking for a revision. He had been implanted at 18. As I remember, he got over 12 years out of his.
