This is what I read quite often. Whatever my decision, it will cause regret: regret for not making this decision earlier or regret why I screwed up a fairly well functioning dick... Seems a cath-22.

I agree; this is not only a problem in the bedroom but extends much further, touching every part of your life.

I fit totally into the category your describing. For 10 years I used Cialis and viagra. At first was very minimal. As the years progressed I was up to 20 or plus mg of Cialis and then pop a 100mg viagra 30-40 minute before sex and then with the headaches along with the other body aches I was getting it started diminishing even at this level. Then I started injections. Was started on a low strength dose with about 5cc and I was a teenager again… within 6 months I was up to 20ccs and then by a year I was up to 35-40 cc and that would cause aches in my shaft for hours afterwards. That’s when I entertained the idea of implant. I was still getting great erections with all the firmness you could want and for the most part would last long enough. My issue was with the pain afterwards and also began to notice several small bb sized scar tissues which my urologist confirmed. Also toward the end I bent several needles while trying to inject, again because of scar tissue. After right at 2 years I got my implant. Had a very easy surgery and a very quick easy recovery. I was 7” prior to implant with injections or VED. At first pump up at 3 weeks i barely measured 5-3:4” and was very disappointed even knowing that it would definitely get better with exercising it and using it. At 8 weeks I was at 6” and now at 16 weeks I’m 6-14” and hope to gain at least another 1/4”. My girth has never been less than pre implant and has actually gained a bit. I’m 6” at base, 5 3/4 mid shaft and a little less just behind the glands. I’ve been married to the same woman now for 36 years so it being smaller seemed to affect her worse than me at first. Now she absolutely loves it as it’s almost harder than she wants and never have the issues of rushing or worrying it will fail. There were a few weeks that I almost regretted it due to the loss of length but that passed quickly and I have never looked back. Do I wish I had done it sooner???.. NO!!! Did I wait as long as I should have???? Yes!!! You need to be completely committed to getting it done before having it done. It helps with recovery and every other aspect to make up your mind totally that it’s what you want, therefore I had no regrets. I did a ridiculous amount of research, and you should also. That way you have few if any surprises and you can expect and be prepared for the challenges you’ll face after surgery. Although I did have a very easy recovery I attribute it more to knowing what to expect as it is very challenging at times to deal with an erection for weeks, the constant soreness and even today at 16 weeks it gets sore for several hours every morning and. Evening whe. I pump it up to the max and bend the mess out of it( see THE exercise by Paul Perito) I’m absolutely happy with my IPP and think I had the implant exactly at the right time in my life. Absolutely NO regrets!

I was able perform pre-implant, just not optimally. All the pills would do is give me a headache. Stick a needle in my dick, fuck you.

I just replied to a message about depression explaining why I got my implant. I never knew if, when or for how long I would stay erect. I was no longer dating and didn't feel like a man. After my implant, my confidence came back and I definitely feel like a man. I still get bouts of depression, but at least I can have a massive hard on again.

Before my implant I was having sex using pills and Bimix/trimix but the results were not consistant. Sometimes I was hard for 6 hours and other times not at all.

The days that I couldn't perfrom I was an emotional wreck with guilt and my worth as a man.

I did my research, evaluated doctors and spoke with patients who had AMS and Coloplast.

Even the day of surgery in pre-op I was questioning my decision.

The IPP is not perfect but the emotional toil is 100% gone and that improvement of psyche is everything. I now get asked "what is your secret, you can stay hard for so long?"

(Sorry for the late response, didn't check the forum last week)

Great reply. Thanks! I think we think alike. Let me illustrate this with personal story from the last months. In my quest for the $1,000,000 answer (IPP yes/no?), after having read tens or hundreds of personal stories and having studied all (?) possible relevant scientific articles, in addition, I emerged in almost daily sexual contact with different women.

The encounters were pleasurable, but never as good "as it could have been". Regardless of the woman's attractiveness or the kinky activities we engaged in, the problem persisted. In longer term relationships the problem persisted as well: i.e. the (logical) performance anxiety that arises in any man with E.D., appears to play only a modest role.

Of greater negative impact in my case, I think, is the inability to fully relax and surrender to sensory stimuli, as in the back of my mind there is always that little voice: "Is it hard enough?" Actually, during sex (whether it is a BJ, penetrative sex, or any other act) I continually feel the need to touch my dick to check the hardness. However, I do not consider this “performance anxiety” as I actually expect suboptimal performance, which takes away the anxiety that it may occur. Moreover, even in the most relaxed sexual encounters (or during solo sex), erections are never what they should be.

In my quest, I also experimented with drugs. The last time I had taken drugs was about 15 years ago, so this is not something I do normally (alcohol's effect as aphrodisiac and relaxant, I - as most - was already familiar with, and do not take into account here). The drug with the greatest positive effect on the sexual act, I found out, was MDMA (‘ecstasy’); I think exactly because it increased the ability to fully relax and surrender to sensory stimuli. Although the quality of the erection remained greatly equal when on MDMA, I - at least - was able to enjoy sex more, and not focus on what was not going well, but in reverse, on the positive sensations (for example, a partner’s horny look during sex got me much more excited than it would normally do).

This ‘N=1 experiment’ has not finished yet, but I think it safe to say that - under whatever condition - I will never experience a fully functioning dick. Thus, as stated before, the question now is if I want to take the plunge and trade what I enjoy now, for a better erection (and possibly greater sexual joy, and all other life’s aspects that may come with a better erection), but brings also the risk that sexual performance will not be (greatly) improved or even declined, combined with the disadvantages of having an IPP (surgery, possible discomfort, loss of sensation, inflation embarrassment, etc.).

Thanks for sharing you experience. Just like you, for quite some time, I gave up dating because a) I often felt embarrased if I could not perform the way I would like to perform and b) I often did not enjoy as the focus had totally shifted towards the ability to have an erection. Thus, I thought, what is the point of having sex if you are not enjoying it at all?

Not having sex, however, is not an option. Well, I think I could survive without penetrative sex, but not being surrounded by a beautiful woman, not touching her skin, not being intimate with her (in the broad sense of the word), thats not something I can live without, I have found out by experience.

You pump your P.E. in the bathroom before sex? How do you conceal the inflation process?

No serious side effects, mainly blushing and intestinal complaints. The described dose was the highest dose at which the benefits (for me) still outweighed the side effects.

Our situations were quite similar. I’m in my early 40’s, in excellent health, regularly dating attractive women and prior to getting implanted I was able to have sex, but it was hit or miss. Sometimes I’d be rock hard, others I simply couldn’t perform anywhere near optimally. For example, if I were using a condom, things might go south quickly and then I’d be even more frustrated as would the chick. Not wearing condoms with randoms is not exactly a fantastic long-term strategy either. The turning point for me was last summer, I met a beautiful chick on a dating app, we went out partying all night and then had sex, but the condom issue came up again. It wasn’t the worst sex by any means, but I was just sick of that feeling of disappointment. So I looked into options and I remembered an interview with Larry Flynt of Hustler magazine lore. He mentioned having a bionic dick that stayed hard on demand. I was quite surprised to see that it was something I could make happen for myself, too. And, so I did.

At this point it’s been about 5 months since I got it and it’s really had a huge effect on my life in a positive way. I have much higher confidence not just sexually but in general. I know that I can perform like a porn star on demand under any circumstance. I am constantly around people half my age and I know that they’ve got nothing on me. ED is something I’ll never have to encounter again. If the device fails after a number of years, no problem, I’ll get a new one. I am also pretty large in size and haven’t lost any whatsoever. I even model now as a nude model for art classes and you wouldn’t believe the looks i get from the artists in class. Flaccid, it appears pretty massive compared to the average cock.

Also, I travel all around the world regularly and have yet to encounter a single issue with metal detectors anywhere. I keep expecting some TSA agent to ask a question and it hasn’t happened yet. 10/10x I would do it all over again. India, where I got the operation done- was pretty wild. I’d consider going somewhere else, but hey, it worked and I’m happy.
