Implant Does Not Stay Completely Deflated
Implant Does Not Stay Completely Deflated
Hello Gentlemen: I have a coloplast OTR which works well. My only complaint is that after deflating, the liquid slowly moves back into the chambers and partially re-inflates the device. Has anyone else had this problem?
Re: Implant Does Not Stay Completely Deflated
I don't have that problem, but I read about someone else who did. His Dr (Eid) told him to squeeze the inflate bulb once after deflating and that would stop it. He was also told this was a breakin problem that should go away after a while.

Re: Implant Does Not Stay Completely Deflated
My AMS does that to a certain degree also. I have wondered though if the "reinflation" is caused by fluid moving from the rear cylinders into those in the external penis. I squeeze the external penis during deflation so I might be getting those more deflated than the rear cylinders which I obviously can't squeeze.
The result isn't much of a problem for me as I just deflate again once a day to keep it pointing well downward.

Yes, I definitely experience this with the Titan when I deflate it maximally by squeezing all the fluid out. I can't get the fluid out of the proximal end that is buried inside me, and this will drift down into the visible portion of the penis and fill it out a bit. But, when I deflate maximally the external penis looks flattened and deformed and unnatural. And it feels unnatural to the touch. I never mind when it fills out a little since it just makes it pretty natural looking and feeling. It never feels "pumped up" or "semi-erect" at that point.

Re: Implant Does Not Stay Completely Deflated
I have this problem as well with my titan implant and Dr Eid told me he is aware of the problem which is called "auto inflation". He told me after deflation to sqeeze the bulb once which locks the lockout valve. He also explained to me that sometimes the reservoir cannot hold all the liquid and thats what causes the auto inflation too (my reservoir has 125 cc which I think is ample)...
Dr Eid also explained to me that if you can squeeze the implant at its base then it is in a deflated state and not to worry.
My implant continues to filll out so I think that is basically how it is...when I deflate it gets deformed and bent sharply in the right cylinder but once I walk around a bit it rounds out..I was worried at first because I was concerned that th4e reservoir would be encapsulated...but I think this is all normal (for titans I mean)..one thing I'm fortunate about is I dont have rtes and my penis hangs at about 5:00 maybe 530 so even if its big it still looks-natural!
