OP, if you have confirmed venous leak and can afford a good surgeon to implant you, BY ALL MEANS GET THE IMPLANT ASAP. Sometimes I’m baffled by some of the guys on this site. Makes no goddamn sense.
There are many insane things. We are living on a planetary asylum in many ways. What I find insane is the fact that so many young men barely out of their teens think they need a penile implant. Something is clearly wrong with that picture and I find it bizarre that so many people don't notice the problem. Have you ever noticed the ages of the majority of men on here that are implanted? They tend to be elderly men many of whom had radical prostatectomy. That's a big difference and some big differences in the reasons for needing an implant.
I've noticed the increase in young people asking about implants. While it does look like a sudden flood, it might not be. There is lots of data points missing. I doubt that anybody will be able to gather them all together inorder to make anykind of rational conclusion.
Lets speculate on a few of the potential reasons for increases of ED in younger men.
1: Is it truly an increase or has the social norms been changed to allow them to vent? Could better access to info be part of it? Now that FT has matured, implants have gotten some press. Did that fuel the info flow to younger men?
2: Has the proliferation of penile health harming drugs finally reached a tipping point? Look at all the things that men are reporting about? Propecia, SSRI's. I remember running into an antihistamine that killed my erection. Fortunately it was temporary. I can't name all the drugs that I've read of. Even many of the drugs for high blood pressure & cholesterol can affect ED. Are men getting these treatments at a younger age?
