Do Injections (trimix) allow you to have mostly normal sexual function?

Yes.
45yo, venous leak. Pills increased tinnitus (very rare). Using bimix+atropine, 0.2 of:
Atropine Sulfate: 52MCG/ML, Phentolamine MES: 0.9MG/ML, Papaverine HCL: 26MG/ML

Yes, Trimix works great for me.
Diagnosed venous leak. Going with injections rather than implant for the time being.

Consider yourself very lucky that you had a professional caring Doctor. I got a high dose Trimix injection at my first visit with "Dr Nathan Papadeas" at the Summit Male Medical in Tempe Az, after the injection I got a really hard erection and they let me go with the hard erection without telling me ANYTHING!!!!!! The result 3 years later is a deformed penis with a severe depression.
I had a trauma 2 years ago, caused me narrowing, dent and shortening. PRP injections three months ago=worse narrowing, and worse ED. Now I only have two choices: impotent or implant. Born in 1975, in a relationship with girlfriend fir 4 years

Ok folks, today is when the rubber meets the road.

I have an appointment with my urologist this afternoon to go over my penile doppler results.

To recap:
- Through 2021, had very few issues with getting and maintaining strong erections on command and controlling orgasm
- Starting April 2022, went from stud to limp noodle. Trouble getting it up and maintaining erection.
- PDE5 inhibitors mostly didn't work
- Was using supplemental testosterone cream which threw my hormones out of whack
- Been using Trimix for guaranteed performance in the meantime
- Had unrelated robotic surgery in March 2022 in which they mistakenly removed foley catheter while the balloon was still partially inflated -- which hurt like a motherf*cker -- it was the most painful experience of the whole surgery (urologist said this may have "injured" my penis)

Looked into my medical online portal and I see the following penile doppler test results which I find VERY surprising and rather hard to believe:

Assessments
Impotence of organic origin, ICD9 : 607.84, ICD10 : N52.8
Peyronie's Disease, ICD9 : 607.85, ICD10 : N48.6
Vascular disorder of penis, ICD9 : 607.82, ICD10 : N50.1

Really? I'm supposed to believe that all of this just happened since about December 2021 (when everything was working fine)?
And I have Peyronie's? Really? That's hard to believe. My dick is straight, not curved, not painful, and I've done a total of 8 Trimix injections thus far.

There's no mention in my chart about my hormonal imbalance.

I'm fully expecting some vague prognosis with next steps being recommendations for very expensive shockwave treatments. (This doctor was selling me on this treatment on day one before even examining me or running any tests).

Anyway, does this seem fishy to you?

Should I be able to get the penile doppler results and go ask for a second opinion?

I'll post later after meeting with my doctor, but I'm really surprised to see these results as I was expecting my whole problem was due to hormone imbalance and performance anxiety, not some vague organic impotence thing, Peyronie's, and some vascular disorder.

Depending on the specifics of the diagnosis and resulting recommended treatment, I'd likely want to get a second opinion.

Minimally I'd like to get a Trimix prescription from him so that I can shop around compounding pharmacies for best prices -- as getting a RX online from a doctor tends to lock you into a specific provider which is expensive (Invigor Health for example charges $249 for 5ml Trimix which is on the expensive side. The stuff works and is legit but is expensive).

Turns out the diagnosis was very mild; I made way more out of it than I should have.
Gonna stay on daily Cialis.
OK to use Bimix/Trimix. They provide both at the doctor's office at reasonable prices.
Urologist recommends his patients use Bimix over Trimix.
Hard to know if my issues are the result of an injury or just part of getting older.
I'm not terribly concerned overall.

Good your doc has a remedy that works. Just read that they pulled the catheter with deflating the bulb. OUCH! That could be part of the issue maybe? Such a sudden onset of ED afterwards makes me wonder.
I was mid-50's when ED started. Like you, from stud to maybe to nothing in a few months. Used Viagra and Trimix until those didn't work.
And I hated the catheter after my implant. Had to pull it out myself. That was the strangest feeling ever.

Yeah, looks like I'll stick with the Cialis and Trimix. Hoping getting my hormones in check will make things better as well.
We'll see if this is a remedy that works.

I don't want to be dependent on Trimix. While my girlfriend and I love the intense "supercharged" experience that goes on for hours, I want to be able to be more spontaneous rather than excusing myself for an injection. It only takes a couple of minutes, but not exactly spontaneous.

I'm thinking the Foley Catheter incident indeed damaged my penis and contributed to my sudden ED.
Will never forget the conversation with the nurse right before she removed the catheter:
Her: OK now relax, going to remove the catheter
Me: OK, is this going to hurt?
Her: No, it won't hurt, but it's going to feel a little weird
<She rapidly pulls it out>
Me: HOLY SH*T MOTHERF*CKER ^@#$^% (at the top of my lungs which could barely be heard due to post thoracic surgery fluid in my lungs)
Her: That shouldn't have hurt
Me: Holy sh*t that hurt -- that was the most painful part of this surgery experience thus far!

Was such a joy. Peed blood for a few times. Looked like cola.
Not going to complain as that surgery extended my life in the grand scheme of things.

I confronted the staff at the end about this and they just basically denied it happened.

Relax, huh? It won't hurt. As much as it really didn't hurt when my catheter came out it was the strangest feeling I never want to feel again. If I wasn't still numb from the surgery it probably would have put me on the ceiling. Being implanted was the first time ever having a catheter in me, and my only surgery as an adult.

Cialis never worked for me. Viagra did, for about 2-3 years before the side effects and failures started. Generic Viagra only gave me hot flashes, like I was burning up from the inside out.

I know what you mean about using Trimix. I hated using it but loved the results. Hated it because after getting heated up in the bedroom it was kill the mood to jump out and go inject. At first Trimix gave me solid erections for an hour or more. About two years and it started failing even increasing the strength and dose. That was depressing. Moved to Quadmix which only worked for a few months.

My implant surgery went fine, but I was a slow healer and hurt for a few months. Now it's the best thing I ever did for us. No matter when or where, if we want to be intimate, I'm ready in a few pumps.

PSSDorAmINormal wrote:IDK guys it sounds like they don't give two poops about your tests. IMO I would think a regular erection would be needed to properly understand the flow of blood in each individual penis. Seems like common sense would say a chub or semi doesn't have all the blood in or out. So how does this all add up to accurate test measurements? It makes no sense to me. Seems real easy to call everything VL.

The penis isn't done filling with blood until it reaches maximum erect size! If they have modern medicine to cause an erection, I would think they would go all the way. Max it out. Seems like there is a bit of embarrassment or prudishness that shouldn't be. They need to get over the fact that YES there will be erect penises in the clinic. That's why the men are here to be checked! Duh right? Give guys big spacious hospital gowns or safe space to allow time for the erection to go down. Other than that give instructions to use at home.

I cannot understand how venous leakage can be diagnosed with a penis that is not erect. This is totally wrong. I remember in my younger years how my penis used to fall off if I was startled by something or just worried, Also if I'm too out of breath.....this is also venous leakage. In my opinion, the real problem is when there is leakage with an erect penis. This means that there is an area that is damaged and there the tunica or corpora cavernosa is not compressing the veins. They cannot give a diagnosis - venous leakage of a penis that is not even 20% erect. My experience was similar. Many times I can get a rock hard erection without pills , even hold it (until I start thinking too much), but many times it doesn't work. At the same time, with 2.5 mcg of alprostadil, they gave me a diagnosis of venous leakage with a 10% erection. Also to be told that this is apparently the maximum erection I can get because the Alprostadil is supposed to make me hard as a rock.

I had this *exact* thing happen when I had my surgeries, and my problems started then too. I remember right when they removed it, lots of blood, major pain, and some words about whether or not they had properly lubed it before it ever went in. Since that point:

- ED
- Reduced sensation
- Lost most of my ejaculate to where it's like droplets instead of ropes.

I have yet to get a Doppler done, but am going to talk to them about it. The urologists are sick of talking to me at this point.
