The dreaded third day. Day 3 and 4 always seem the worst for recovery. Tbh, it’s far better than it was with the Titan. With the Titan, it seemed like I was sore all over, and that makes sense because there’s more pieces and more trauma. Right now the pain is more of a sore scrotum thing and some minor twinges along the shaft of my penis I wouldn’t call it pain as much is just uncomfortableness. I do notice that the skin around the penis is puffy just like it was with the Titan. Similar to the time I was using the VED pre surgery a bit too aggressively and everything got really really puffy.

The swelling has gone down because I’ve been icing religiously and while I’m still not ready to give a size report, it’s not as bad as I initially thought. I still see the benefits to the malleable and I’m hoping that I’m satisfied with this to not have to go through another surgery. Having said, that ultimately is gonna come down to my enjoyment of sex when I’m cleared to go for it.

It sounds like the axial rigidity is solid. How about radial? Do you think you could hang a towel on it? (Not asking you to try haha, at least until it's healed!)

Nice thoughts Anfornee. You cannot go by what you hear. Ultimately it's what suits you. Everyone is different. It all depends on your and partner satisfaction and comfort. And it's not the end of world. Like you said you can always go for another in case required. Keep updating on sex life.

How is girth compared to natural erection?

I can easily hang things from it lol. I’ll try to attach a pic. I am surprised at the rigidity tbh. It’s not as rigid as the Titan fully inflated, I’d say more like the Titan at 80/85%? But still more rigid than my natural erections when I was not bionic. If the pics load, the towel is a high quality smaller sized bath towel and it held it easy. Please excuse the swelling. Everything is fluffy.

True words! The sex will tell me where I’ll go with this. As of now the recovery has been so much better than with the Titan.

As of now my girth seems good. I’m sure I lost a little along with length. Tri-mix was still “sort of” working towards the end before I went bionic. But I was using 70-80 iu’s for a 15 minute erection. Not healthy. But a year ago with tri-mix I was definitely a bit thicker. Both girls I play with didn’t mention it and seemed to have just as good a time.

I learned the phrase “managing expectations”. I went in with the expectations of staying at 6.5 inches long (from 7) and with as little girth loss as possible. Sorry far, so good.

That's a great looking dick. Have you measured your girth yet? Wondering how it compares to both the Titan and your pre-ED natural circumference.

Thank you. I haven’t measured yet for girth and the length is hard due to all the swelling. So far the length is 6.3-6.5 not quite pushing all the way to the public bone. I haven’t checked girth but using the toilet paper roll test I can only fit the head in and from what I’ve been told that’s a pretty accurate test (I looked it up online so you know it’s accurate lol).

It’s not far off from natural. I was right at 6.9. Girth was similar to before.

Anfornee wrote:Long story short, I got an infection with the Titan 3-piece. My surgeon opted to take out three piece clean out the infection and implant a one piece malleable Coloplast genesis. This happened this morning and I am in the hospital recovering. As of now there’s very little swelling and of course the implant is in the fully erect position. being a guy, I’m concerned with retention of size both length and girth. It’s still sore so I’m not grabbing it but just by exploring the new addition, I do not notice any appreciable loss in either length or width. I’ve been pretty good at managing my expectations with any of the devices, but it’s far better to start off with a positive attitude and seeing where things go. It’ll be a minimum of two weeks before I can do a real road test and I’m looking forward to it I am by no means an expert on this device yet. But if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask I’ll update this as we go.

Thanks for posting this journey, it's good info for the rest of us.

Could you elaborate on how the infection was caused? was it from the surgical process?

Thanks

I don’t think they are sure yet about the cause of the infection. They took the device out along with samples to send out so we can figure out what the infection actually was. It was fine the first two weeks, then there was a slight hematoma that turned into an angry infection over about two weeks. The night before the surgery was the absolute worst and I almost ended up in the ER, but the surgeon was able to get me into surgery before the 1115 time he has set. I’d like to think of myself as a robust guy but this pain floored me to the point where I had to be brought in by a nurse and wheelchair. My thought is that if it was surgical the infection would’ve started almost immediately, but my other thought is how could it not be surgical if that was the only thing that changed was getting the surgery?

I had my first postop with the doctor today. He stated that the infection is probably one of the worst ones he’s seen in a long time. He was able to get in pull out everything including the reservoir and was able to flush antibiotics through the whole area. He said he debated putting in the malleable at that time or just letting me rest, but decided, knowing me that I would rather have them in to preserve things. I’m on Bactrim for 14 days because per the doctor we aren’t fully out of the woods yet

Overall, he’s very happy with the healing, even though there’s a lot of swelling because of the multiple surgeries in a short period of time. He said in about four weeks will decide if we’re gonna stick with the malleable or consider going with the Titan again. He said, generally, my demographic sticks to the three piece, but he was really happy with the results from the malleable. He recommended a minimum of two months and was more comfortable with three months before we even considered a third surgery.

As of now I’m sitting here trying to figure out what to watch next on Amazon prime as I hold down the couch and try not to get fat.
