Gladsiee,
I think you have come to the perfect place for you to make your decision, Frank Talk is filled with men of all ages who have gone through the exact same thing you are going through, the only difference is the ages. We all feel your pain, that is not an exaggeration, I think you will find more empathy here than anywhere else you can go. The replies you get here are heartfelt, each of these responders don't want you to make a life altering mistake, where else can you go to converse with 100's of men who have gone through what you are experiencing.
With that being said, I am 78 years old, when I was your age, I didn't think anyone over about 50 even thought about sex. I could not have been more wrong. I am in very good physical shape; most people are surprised when they find out how old I am. Inside, looking out, I don't feel any different than I did when I was your age or even younger. Ask around, I don't think you will find any senior guy who will say anything different. Why do I bring this up; because you Gladsiee have a sex life ahead of you which will continue until the day you die.
You have said in your posts that you are a medical student, bravo, I admire you, but you admit you don't have time to have a surgery right now, so you have time. I would recommend you read as many histories as you can on Frank Talk, ask questions when you are confused and have debates going on in your head.
Here is what I believe about your situation, you are spending an exorbitant amount of time thinking and worrying about this, it is consuming you, it is distracting you from your studies, it is keeping you from enjoying your relationship, it is all you can think about, you go to Frank Talk way too often looking for those magic words that will solve your problem. I know this, I am long retired and have way more time than you do, and this is how ED affected me and it still does. I received my implant 5 weeks ago and I am so horny I can't stand it; I have one week to go before I can have sex and having sex is all I can think about. I've become almost unproductive; I can only imagine what it is like for a 25 year old and I have been fucking the same woman for 55 years.
Your sex life is horrible, and you know it is not going to improve. Yes, I think you should go to a shrink and see if they have a solution for you because you have time because you can't have surgery now if you wanted to, but if the psychology can't help you physically you have the same problem.
There are several young men in their twenties on this site who have received an implant. The one I am most familiar with is Minnesota #2, he is 27 years old, he and I had the exact same surgery on the exact same day and nearly the exact same hour and the exact same implant. I have been posting with him comparing our recoveries. Even though I am 50 years older than he is our recoveries have been nearly identical. One thing that might be different between us is patience, we were both restricted by our surgeons to not have sex for 6 weeks which fairly standard, but Minnesota had an opportunity and successfully fucked at 25 days! Unfortunately, my wife would never let me cheat, to her a rule is a rule.
Gadsiee, you will read over and over again on Frank Talk the simple phrase, "I wish I had done it sooner."
Decision to get an implant is so difficult if your dick somewhat works

Used Viagra & Cialis until lost vision in one eye due to AION, therefore can never use pills again, then tri-mix 1 1/2 years until unreliable. Implanted 9/20/22 at 77 years old by Dr. Yafi, UC Irvine. Married 55 years wife 76. 20cm Coloplast Titan.
Re: Decision to get an implant is so difficult if your dick somewhat works
Posting again because you are getting answers all over the place. Do it now, don't do it. Only you can make that decision. The implant is a forever, no going back surgery. It's life changing, but not every guy is ready to take that step. If you're having issues with erections and you're just done suffering or hiding it, that is one yes answer.
I will agree with Amansincali who said many posts here mention the "I should have done it sooner" phrase. I'm one of those guys, wish I would have known about implants before I popped that first Viagra.
Best of luck making your decision.

Even Dr. Eid says on his website about nocturnal erections: if erections occur and are documented by the device, the patient’s ED is most likely psychogenic.
That said, a limp dick is a limp dick. No matter the cause. I am in med school in the netherlands so I will have no time to go to new york during the academic year for surgery. However I may decide to go come summer.
Did the injections stop working for you or did you just not like the hassle?
It slowly worked less and less. At the end I was using 80+ iu’s of tri-mix when 50 was the max recommended by my doc and I only got 15-30 minutes of an erection that wasn’t super hard. It was great while it lasted but a lot of guys have the same issue with it working less over time.
Is that an issue caused by the injection itself or the underlying problem getting worse?
I’m not sure. I believe it was my condition had got worse.

My two cents: If you think you're inadequate for a woman you won't have any erections with her.
The same idea that you wonder about what normality means is a lack of self esteem. Really people aren't hard 24/7 and the world is full of young guys spectacularly failing for lack of intimacy or experience.
Given you have consistent nocturnal erections it's a pity cut & paste your dick so early.

I’m in a similar situation. My cock works well enough with a good cock ring and an injection of TriMix. A LARGE dose of a strong concentration. Just well enough. Not great. It also works well enough (semi-hard) for me to pleasurably jack off. I’ll get very rigid just before ejaculation but super hard erections otherwise have been a thing of the past for a while.
I know I qualify for an implant (as far as performance) but it’s a tough decision to lose what little natural ability I have. I really do enjoy feeling my cock swelling when I get turned on. Even though it doesn’t get firm enough for penetration without a shot and a cock ring.
I’m also unsure if an implant would be covered by my insurance. I’m 54 so it’s possible the answer would be no. That factors into the decision as well.

55yo, NYC. ED started at 40. 50 units BiMix + Atropine (Pap 30/Phen 6/Atr 0.2). Prostaglandins caused aching. Doses increasing. A cock ring helps. Phallosan Forte tension devise to maintain size. Eager to talk about implant experiences.

Right, I got 12 years out of my Trimix injections, they worked great while they worked and I really liked them, but.............

Thank you. It is true that it is all I can think about. The decision remains imposisble for me. Friends, doctors, everybody around me, my own mind, all tell me not to go for it. Many people here tell me to go for it. I will probably stop posting here as much because it won't really help me anyway. I already don't feel like a man due to my failing penis, and my inability to make a decision makes me feel like even less of a man.
Just 2 days ago I had sex for an hour with a rock hard erection (using cialis, viagra, pt141, and ghb). Yet i'm already worried about meeting up with my FWB tonight, since I will not be using the whole drugcocktail tonight. Also everytime I use PDE5i+pt141 I have to worry about priapism and have to stay up all night doing pushups etc while my girl is sleeping to get my penis down.
The combination of being able to obtain perfect erections but still having to obsess about it makes the decision so so difficult
25 years old. Lifelong (psychogenic?) ED. Can attain erections with viagra+cialis+PT141 but lose arousal randomly during sex with subsequent loss of erection.
Erections are like private jets. I don't have them

No one with a limp dick needs to push up in the middle of the night to avoid priapism... Really, no matter how many PDE5 you took it sounds almost ridiculous. Chances are you need just PDE5 and a better approach to sex and intimacy. It seems to me you are living it more like a challenge. Maybe buspar could help you a little bit with anxiety instead of pt 141 and gdb.

Thank you.
Yesterday night was a failure unfortunately. I was on viagra, cialis, and ghb. It is clear I will be dependent on pt-141 until I get an implant. I get hard at unpredictable moments but will randomly lose horniness and go soft immediately. Switching positions or putting on a condom without the pt-141 is out of the question. I don't know what's wrong with me and likely never will.
The girl i'm dating is still super into me which is a blessing, but weirdly enough deep down i want her to leave me so I don't have to worry about her leaving me later. It's also exhausting having to constantly plan my life in such a way that we are only having sex approx once a week while making it look spontaneous, and then having to stay up all night because of priapism fears after having sex

The fact that, while with all these conditions, I'm still able to get a rock hard erection, makes it very difficult to go get an implant, even though deep down i do feel like i need it. I will be destroying a part of me that in a way works. I have rock hard nocturnal erections. I'm 25 right now. I'm dating a girl for two monts now who, up until this point, still likes me very much. However I feel like every day I wait to get the implant is another day of a great sex life wasted. I'm only letting her come over once a week because if i use the pt141 more often than that tolerance will build up and not work anymore. I make excuses for all the other days. That's no sex life. Funny enough I think this makes her chase and like me even more because I seem so unavailable. But the more she displays interest, the more I die inside because I know she's interested in a fake version of me that I will not be able to keep up forever. Every week when I inject my stomach i'm reflecting what the f**k i'm even doing.
Also I don't know how well "normal" dicks work. Are they rock hard all the time? I have no reference point to see how bad I really am.
I don'tknow what to do.
I know this may sound ungrateful but sometimes I wish I had an accident which cut a nerve or something so the decision to get implant was easily made.
I have a few thoughts on your dilemma.
First, did a doctor prescribe that cocktail of meds? I would be cautious of going beyond what a doctor prescribes.
Second, my ED is from nerve damage at 32 years old. After its onset, I never was able to get hard without using meds. I never got hard while asleep.
Third, I haven't seen you address whether or not you get a good hard on while jerking off. That might be a good indicator of whether or not this is a physical or psychological problem.
