Bro's,
Life is not all about sex. In fact, the average male in his 40's has only 1,33 times sex a week, which last appr. about 15 minutes a session. I know, you, the Frank talk member is not the Joe Average and has at least 6 hot long sessions a week, with 7 seven different girls.
But imagine you are the Joe Average or just an average single Bro who is lucky if he even has once in a while a hook up. Is it worth the hassle?
With hassle i mean, the recovery, the costs, replacements, problems with clothes, walking with a semi-erect, embarrassing moments, etc.
Just wondering how you guys things about this perspective.

Re: Is the hassle worth the moments you can have sex
My ED effected my whole life. I was unhappy and grumpy. When I decided to kick ED out of my life and become a whole man again that all changed. For me it helped me all the time not just when I had sex. Something was gone and I wanted it back.
So I guess it depends on the man. If you can live the rest of your life without sex and it has no effect on you then no it is not worth it.

Certainly agree with newbie!
75, used pills, injections -- all lost effectiveness. Titan implanted by Eid in Feb '22.

Definitely agree with newbie443!
Pills and injections failed. The implant gave me back the ability to remain intimate with the wife. Maybe it's only been used for several hours in 3 years, but those are some of the best hours ever.

^^This. My sex life ended about 20 years ago. I got an implant 13 years ago, but a stroke killed my libido - I went from being a full-on horn dog to zero in the blink of an eye. Getting the implant had no affect on my desire - I could have performed if I wanted to, but I didn't want to. My wife had long since lost interest, so that was the end of it. Most men can't imagine losing their desire for sex, but I can attest that it happens.
Dave, 80, Maryland - Implant (Titan) 2008 by Dr. Andrew Kramer (failed Sept 2020) - never used due to a stroke that, among other things, ended my sex life.

When one has a lover, with whom he is in passionate love, sex is a vital and life-giving element of the relationship. Don’t miss out.

I think I am your average guy. I had ED most of my life (albeit unrecognied). After my implant, the stretched feeling in my penis is pleasurable. The ability to have penetrative sex (as opposed to cunnilungus and fellatio) is important to me, but is not central to my being. I have sex with my girlfriend once of twice a week Never more than 30 minutes at a time (and 10-15 minutes of actual penis-in-vagina action, at most). So, sex is NOT a major driving force in my life.
Sexual congress is an important (not the only, of course) part of emotional intimacy. That emotional connection to one's significan other IS a vital part of most human beings' life.
Sex was not high up on priorities before my implant but It HAS moved up in importance a few steps because now, I CAN. (Just like a non-singer would not see singing as not very important before discovering he had a loverly voice. With that discovered ability, singing woud moveup in ranking, naturally.)
Dealing with the other factors you mentioned: The cost is about the same as a decent new car favored by men in mid-life crisis and has about the same service life. Dresing around an implanted penis is no more a problem than dressing around a penis that occasionally spontaneously erects. A change in wardrobe is not usually required, but, as with any new item, sometimes a man will obsess over maintaining it. (Polishing his new car obsessively vs finding comfortable underwear with the same obsession) Normal human behavior, not limited to his sex organs. My penis is a bit larger with implant deflated than my natural penis was in a flaccid state, but not significantly.
It may seem that members here are obsessed with their penises, but consider this: This is a forum devoted almost exclusively to penises with problems. So, (as you pointed out) the subject matter of most postings here will, perforce, be on that subject. These men also have other hobbies, values, concerns (and other obsessions, too).
Yes, the hassle of getting my implant was worth it. And, I believe I am not ourside the norm of the gerneral population of men.
Thanks for asking such a probing question. Every man considering an implant (penile, aural, dental, whatever) should weigh the drawbacks, benefits, sacrifices and costs.

Is it worth it?
You will not know until you have it done and then you will be like all the other guys on this site who have had it done and you will say, WITHOUT A DOUBT! It changes your entire attitude; it makes you feel young again for all that time that isn't in that 1.33 X 15 minutes a week. It makes you feel whole and complete, something that ED steals from you.

Smphead,
I just reviewed your profile. I see that you used propecia. I will jump to the conclusion that you took that step to combat hair loss? Your appearance?
Was it worth it?
Of course propecia is not as big a step as getting an implant, but if your hair was important enough to go to the trouble of taking propecia, you can extrapolate those motives to the ability to have sex in even moderate amounts of duration and frequency.

Same here with finasteride. Im already thinking implant should be the way out of this disaster
