Forgive me if this should be in one of the other forums but I was baptized to FT in the Implant forum so here goes.
In April 2022 I had the REZUM procedure where steam is used to kill off prostate cells that are obstructing the urethra to the point where urination is difficult. In my case it was impossible without a catheter. I chose REZUM versus the transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) because the former procedure supposedly had less risk of retrograde ejaculation (RE).
Nonetheless RE is what I ended up with. Now after an implant in early August I have an organ that can get rock hard but has almost comically limited sensitivity. It feels almost dead inside another mouth or orifice and I can't come anywhere close to climaxing. Masturbation has been barely successful only once and I've taken to using a Fleshlight but that doesn't change the dead sensation. I only get a version of the climax after much stroking and straining whereupon I do get quite a pronounced climax but with only the tip of the penis seemingly responsive.
If I had a partner who loved how hard I could get and for how long this might not be turning into a nightmare. But that’s not available; all I have is a rather cold erection and a glans that looks like it was my normal shrunken size on a cold day before implantation.
I will concede that through regular cycling I’ve added back probably a half inch from my post-op length, and the girth is something to behold. (Almost with two hands, LOL.) But am I doomed to desperately hunt for a partner who wants some hot sausage while all I can supply is a small popsicle? How long before other FT members were still seeing improvement?

Post-Prostate Procedure, Post Implant: Dead Sensation Forever?
Decades+ ED; finally ultrasound showed venous leak+arterial insufficiency. Infrapubic (Yay!) implant by Dr. Karpman 8/9/22; with 13 cm distal, 9 proximal Titan. Cleared for new life 9/1/22 and hoping to make up for lost time.

I am about 10 months past my surgery date, and during the past month I have felt a tremendous improvement in shaft sensitivity. I have also been wearing a Manhood (soft glans cover) for the past 3 months which has also helped. Be patient and I think you'll feel those nerves waking up with time.

Oldog12 is right. Many men got back the sensation months after the implant surgery. It is an invasive surgery that would have great impact on your nerves. They need time to recover. Hang in there!

I had the cold glans and shaft as well. However, I found that blood flow was the issued. Get your urologist to prescribe some viagra or cialis. I sent this study to my doctor ( https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15341394/) I have a 20 mg daily dose of Cialis. I now have very good sensations from all forms of manipulation and the coldness has all but ceased. Usually I only notice a cold glans in the late evening and take a half of Cialis to ensure blood flow continues. I have not had any negative issues like low blood pressure or any other problems. The Viagra 100 mg will give me a headache occasionally.

The prostatectomy is what killed all my nerves. My glans was ice cold and white. About 2 1/2 years after the pC I started to get blood flow and a nice red glans with more feeling. Never has been dark purple like before. Nothing beats a blood filled dick.

No side effects at 20mg tadalafil daily? Backpain, stomachache, nothing? Do you take a break sometimes?
Re: Post-Prostate Procedure, Post Implant: Dead Sensation Forever?
I’m at 5-1/2 months and experienced similar effects immediately after implant. Gradually coming back. Would consider I’m probably 60-75% back to pre implant but noticing improvement every month. I also use 5mg of cialis daily which definitely improves blood flow to glans and along the bottom of the shaft. Also the 5mg helps my BPH noticeably. Win win
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!

No side effects. No back pain that I have noticed...I generally take the tadalafil every morning. I may miss a day here and there, only because I forget to take it, but for the most part I have not had any ill effects. I work out (heavy weights) and walk about 10 miles a week. So far, so good!
