As for an implant, Dr Ralph seems to be the man everyone talks about here in the UK. I had an appointment with him about a possible implant further on in my lifetime. The cost for an implant today would cost roughly £12k.

You should not do this. You are too young and once you've done it you can't go back. Even a well done implant is not near as good as a natural erection

I will weigh in on the "not near as good" vs "almost as good" or "better than" question with an opinion and observation.

My implanted penis' erection outlasts my ejaculation. That is better than before my implant. Not as good as when I was 18 years old, though.

My implanted penis can never ever again erect itself in response to the attentions of my lover. That is not nearly as good as ever before. Even just a couple years before implant when my erection was not durable enough for penetration. It was still quite good at responding to fellatio. After implant, for some reason, fellatio is not as pleasurable before.

My implanted penis, though it cannot get erect by itself, does rise on command. (Well, almost. It takes between 30 to 90 seconds of pumping.) Pumping is a distraction I would rather do without, but it is better than what I had before and (in my opinion) preferable to VED/Constriction ring or injecting.

My implanted penis is nowhere near as good as my pill-assisted erections. Unfortunately the pills lost effectiveness.

I have come to rely on the reliability of my implant and am happy with it. It would be a difficult decision to go back to my original penis now that I know how unreliable my original was compared to "normal" men. (I always thought so-called normal men were bragging about their sexual abilities, so my pre-ED image of self was biased.)

My opinion: My implanted dick is far better than my original dick. But my original dick was somewhat defective for almost all of its service life.

I cannot explain it.

I expect it would be different for each individual man.

I have speculated to myself and my girlfriend that since fellatio was (before implant) so good compared to coitus (which was dismal towards the end) the change in ranking might be due to the fact that coitus is so much better after implant than it was before. Another speculation is that the self-erecting ability of my before-implant penis had a lot to do with my enjoyment. Now that my penis has no erectile ability of its own, that enjoyment is gone.

To repeat myself, I cannot explain it. I really do expect it is an individual thing.

Had I known the options and insurance coverages - I would've 100% done it at 28!

Fellatio no longer ranks above coitus. But the reason why is obscure.

I suspect, but am not 100% sure, the ranking changed because my natural erection (even with pills) was not rigid enough to be very good for coitus but perfectly fine for fellatio. With the implant, coitus is SOooo much better thatn it was before implant that coitus is better than fellatio.

Of course, memory is malleable, so the above comparison may not be perfect. Or, the skill of my fellator (she has no experience fellating anyone but me) may not be as good as my prior girlfriends. Or any number of other reasons sensation has changed (nerve damage? that is so subtle I cannot discern it).

I am sure every man's experience will be unique, so yours may not be anything like mine in this regard.

OP, I think you need to get real clear as to whether this is a temporary issue caused completely by sertraline or a more permanent issue that is at least somewhat physical on nature.

If it is the latter, I would not rule out the implant. I am 28 and just got implanted myself, but I exhausted pills and injections and still never found something that could consistently give me serviceable wrections. My issue was physical and permanent, so there was no use in waiting.

I would suggest trying pills, injections, and getting a doppler done by a specialist.

I too have pssd from an antidepressant. It will be four years for me in June. I understand your thought on the implant. Pills for me are unreliable. Sometimes they work sometimes they don’t and the injections are not fun.
