Different formulae of Trimix: 40/30/4 vs. 20/30/2

Postby chrissatx » Mon Dec 12, 2022 1:06 am

I have been using 20/30/2 Trimix for the past year or so with great results. Urologist prescribed Finasteride for BPH - not good, as in knock your dick in the dirt bad - back in August. Stopped taking it within a month; but lingering side effects. The 20/30/2 still "works" but the results are not as consistent and dosage has almost doubled. Urologist prescribed Tadalafil 5mg daily (generic Cialis) as an alternative and at my suggestion :) That helps and, interestingly, the unpleasant side effects of the higher doses of Cialis haven't occurred (so far). There is another thread on the combination; But I wanted to start a separate thread related to the combination of daily Cialis and varying "strengths" of Trimix.

My urologist has said "we" might have to consider Quadmix if the side effects of the Finasteride linger. My local compounding pharmacy can make to order varying formulae of BiMix, Trimix, Quadmix - basically, whatever the doc prescribes. They have 40/30/4 as a standard "high strength" Trimix. And I have wondered whether that might allow me to reduce the quantity I have to inject. I'm sure that some of you have gone through the different formulae of Trimix and even moved on to Quadmix. And your thoughts, experiences, and input are all welcomed...

Yeah finasteride is poison for your dick. What's the point of having hair to attract women if your dick doesn't work when you get back to your place? I'm 46 but took it in my mid 20s, which is when my ED began, and my ED never went away even after quitting finasteride. So here I am using injections and considering an implant.
44, ED problems began around age 28 when I was on finasteride for hair loss, and also got circumcised so I lost a lot of sensation. Pills gave me bad headaches and other side effects. Now using trimix 30/1/20. So far so good.

Even 40 PGE is low compared to as high as it can get -- e.g. 150! I went through all the strengths, including quadmix, on my way to an implant, and finesteride use was a factor for me as well. But that may not apply to you, so If you want to try stronger Trimix or Quadmix, contact Kevin at University Compounding in FL -- very helpful guy and if your doc doesn't agree with those increases, this pharmacy can have an online doc prescribe it for a $50 consult.
All the best to you -- if you would like any additional info from me, just PM.
75, used pills, injections -- all lost effectiveness. Titan implanted by Eid in Feb '22.

Where is university compounding? I don't know of that one in Florida.
R.R.P 2011 Mayo Jacksonville, Dr. M. Wehle. Not nerve sparing. C in margins. Radiation 2023, V.E.D, Viagra and PGE-1 (80mcg/ml) injections @ 8 - 14 units. Originally Edex20, then compounded PGE due to cost. Inject. 12 yrs. It works. Treasure coast of FL.
