I have both a medical grade VED and a quality grade “sex store” VED. For intercourse I prefer the medical grade VED with Osbon tension bands and for therapy/enlargement I prefear the sex store VED with a vacuum gauge. The vacuum gauge allows me to alternate between high and low levels of vacuum within safe ranges.

I'm 6.25" in girth. I don't need or want a larger penis, just more reliable erections... Any larger would be problematic for different reasons.

I have definitely increased in girth and probably a little in length. As I have continuously stated on this forum, guys who inject should use a VED pump on days that you're NOT injecting, and 2 days after you inject. Why? VED therapy has multiple therapeutic value for your penis. It increases the blood supply to the penis thus contributing to preventing scarring of the corpora cavernosa..THe increased and repeated blood supply to the corpora cavernosa by VED therapy also more or less increases it's elasticity and promotes healing. It's like exercising a muscle and you are engorging the penis with oxygen enriched blood. I started doing VED therapy 10 years ago when I developed some nodules in my penis after injecting for a year.At the recommendation of a peyronie's specialist who had said if scarring is caught early it can be reversed with medications and VED therapy. I have also repeatedly advised members here to go to the peyronie's forum, which is a web site similar to Frank Talk where you can ask questions, obtain valuable information, share experiences, etc. I think if any man wants to inject long term and avoid surgery for an implant it's imperative that you take your own penile health into your own hands..( no pun and pun intended)..Best to all of you!!

That's very good advice and thank you. How long have you been injection and how many times a week..If you don't mind me asking?

I have been injecting for 10 years. Mostly 1-2 times a week..in the beginning years I was injecting more often. As far as the VED therapy I mention above, there is a whole protocol on how and what do. First off never pump after you have injected or that same. day. also, wait a day before you do begin pumping to allow your penis to heal from the injecting. The protocol as it was outlined to me is you pump just enough where you feel slight discomfort...hold it for 10 seconds, then release the air and wait another 10 seconds...and then repeat. You do this procedure everyday for 10 minutes...going through the cycle. If you feel any pain, you're pumping too much and to hard. And you should STOP! I'm not sure about it making venous leak worse..which I have as well BTW but haven't noticed it getting worse since I've been doing VED therapy. I no longer do it everyday but a few times a week. When I had the nodules in my penis, I was doing that protocol outlined above for a year. The nodules gradually went away, and my Doc told me I could continue to pump as a maintenance exercise..Oh and I used a medical grade VED pump not a cheap one you can get from a sex store. and use plant of lube while pumping..The medical grade VED pumps come with explicit instructions. It does make sense that VED would help pull apart plaque and reduce the "accelerating crinkling" effect peyronies has during its early active phase, I think.

So, after doing more research it's still unclear why the increase in girth (and length too?) happens. I research some cases of sickle cell patients and cases of megalophallus.

I think the growth is more as a consequence of frequent priapisms. Not necessarily smooth muscle growth. It's been long thought that megalophallus is a result of fibrosis from the corpus cavernosa.
However, there have been cases of megalophallus ocurring without the loss of erectile function or formation of cavernosal fibrosis.

Therefore a theory has been proposed in that it was actually hypoxia that caused loss of elasticity of the tunica:

"We propose an alternative mechanism for this
sequela. The increase in penile circumference follows a sudden and permanent loss of elasticity of
the tunica albuginea, brought about by a particularly intense priapism and a very engorged organ.
The loss of elasticity of the tunica albuginea releases constraints on the corpora cavernosa, which
then expand like a sponge."

Thus i think this is why some people experience growth, while others don't. It is dependent on the number and level of priapisms of the patient.

Thus I'm guessing that smooth muscle cells simply have a larger expansion limit by default and are simply usually limited by the tunica. A few things i'm trying to understand are how this is related to penile shrinkage in patients with chronic ED who do not get erections at all.

- How long on average were the erections when injecting?

I guess the main predictor of whether you will loose or gain might depend on the origin (vascular VS non-vascular) of your ED.

I mean, injections do not counter the effect of diabetes or any kind of arterial related disease or side effect of treatments such as beta blockers. For neurological, venous leakage or unknown causes with morning erections, it might be a different subject.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I am curious as to your experience that results in you recommending no VED pumping on injection days.

I used Trimix injections for 12 years and over that time my girth increased from 5.5" to over 6.5". My flaccid size remained the same, less than an inch . My erect length also remained the same at 5.5". I was hoping that I would retain that "gained" girth with my implant but that was not to be, I'm back to my original life long 5.5". I have no idea why I gained so much girth but know I liked it.
