I am now bionic.

Titan. 22 cm. No RTE. Reservoir on left in pelvis. Because of my tight nut sack, he trimmed the tubes somewhat. So, that’s that.

OK. I’m not going to sugarcoat it. When I woke up in the recovery room I immediately felt pain. Grip the sheet, clinch the teeth, pain.

But brothers, let me tell you, I did not take long for that precious nurse to get on it and start administering pain medication into my IV. Within moments I could tell a difference, and then 15 minutes later, the pain was gone, and I felt simply a pressure in my groin area. and I want to tell you in no uncertain terms, my overriding thought, after she attended to the pain, was “This is going to be SO worth it!”. Seriously.

Was in the recovery room after i awoke for two hours. Whatever she gave me for pain, it was bliss. I loved her. And i told her so. Now, she is a somewhat overweight, married, African American, who in that moment. I LOVED! I wanted her to crawl in bed with me and cuddle her. (just cuddle. i’m talking REAL love, you pervs).

Video chatted with a couple of friends, girlfriends, and mom to let them know i was ok.

Wheeled next into a private room for about an hour and a half. I was really concerned about the requirement to urinate before I left the building. Somehow, I envisioned my urethra, being squeezed, or pain, something that would inhibit me from going freely. The male nurse gave me a plastic urinal container, and once he left me alone, I rolled over, stuck the head of my dick and the protective Styrofoam cup into the receptacle.

I really had to pay, but could not let go. I laid there for a good 5 to 10 minutes, thinking “Uh Oh, I really do not want a catheter“. So I just laid there with my dick in the portable plastic urinal. As I lay there, the urge seem to go away somewhat. I thought that was strange, since I had to go rather intensely.

Finally, I just gave it up. I rolled over on my back only to discover that the plastic container was half full of urine! I had Peed and did not feel anything, whatsoever! Man, I was very happy.

after that, Dr. Clavel came in and immediately noticed the portable urinal sitting on the side table. He said “wow! That was fast, and that’s great!“. As soon as you are less woozy, we can get you on your way.

He explained to me that everything went well. 22 cm tighten. No rear tip extenders. He had to adjust the tubing. A bit to accommodate my small and tight Nutsack. just a review of the medication protocol, when the unwrapped, and a few target dates in the future, and he was gone. It was a pleasure meeting him, just as he is in the video, as he is very affable, and really does present a confident vibe. and his staff is equally supportive and professional. His team, I was impressed.

After all that, called an Uber, and returned back to my hotel, which is about a mile away.

At this moment I am laying on my back, wearing nothing but the hotel robe, open in the front with an ice pack on , my nether regions. Just watching some TV.

I pray that whatever nerve agent sore pain medication’s they gave me to stop the original pain gives way to something much less intense. I told Dr. Covello bat it, and he was surprised how much pain I had for those 15 minutes, but assured me that it would indeed be better. So, I’m going to trust him on that, and we will see.

but oh my God. To realize that all the hand ringing, second-guessing, sense of being isolated yesterday in Houston as I approach this, it was such a relief to just think “that’s all over“. This is real, and it’s time to get on with it.

So, I will touch base here on the forum and try to give back a small portion of the very much that has been given me in terms of information, insight, and wisdom.

Fortunately, i did not have either. You’re dealing with this? I’m pretty sure Dr Clavell has some youtube vids on this subject.

Congratulations, brother.

10 days post op.
Almost pain free.

Best decision I ever made.

Couple of things I've learned.
1. Dont miss any antibiotics or any other regiment program they give you.
2. Stay ahead of the pain.
3. Resign yourself to a week or two of being a couch potato.
4. Don't eat any huge meals for the first week.
5.If inflated (some Doctors don't) make sure you have loose clothing on because you will have a chubby for 4-6 weeks. Use discretion.

After my Prostate was removed, I had lost the ability to have a working erection and I tell you right now I feel my self confidence and self esteem returning in ways I never thought they would.
INCREDIBLE!

I got about 4 more weeks to go and I feel like a drag racer in the starting gates with both tires squealing.
Can't wait!

Great news about your surgery. I am glad everything went as good as it sounds. Just lay low the next few days, ice and relax. The next event will be removing the dressing in 48hrs and getting ready to fly home.
