Spoke to this guy on Facebook he said that this (According to my surgeon who was reluctant to do my surgery because I'm so young at 43 when I had it done He was concerned that since I was still very active I would need several revisions by the end of my lifetime. He said every time they have to change it it creates a lot of scar tissue after a certain point they're just not going to be able to change it again and you just wont have a working penis ever again.)
The fact I’m 20 and after hearing this I’m thinking of giving up sex for the rest of my life and being single I need to accept it now
This is changing my mind ( scar tissue )

I have been bionic since I was almost 18.
First implant was in 1988 and failed in 1999
Second one lasted till 2007 and replaced in 2007
Third one lasted till late 2015 and was replaced last month. Revision was done on the most recent implant yesterday but there was no need to change it just get it back into place.
As for upgrades I only know the last 2. I went from a 18 cm AMS 700CX with 1cm rear tip extenders to a 18cm AMS700 LGX with 3cm RTE's.
I am Canadian so this has not cost me anything.

This is one of the reasons, not the only reason by far, I waited until 58 to get mine last month. COVID, losing a parent, stuff like that were big factors for me. Are the device tech and surgery skills far enough along scar tissue doesn't build up very much or at all anymore? Would be great to see recent large studies on scar tissue over several implant surgeries. You sound mid 30s?

Re: This is changing my mind ( scar tissue )
The only cutting that I saw in YouTube videos was to get access into the scrotum & a small incision in the corpras. I hardly can see this as being lots of scar tissue. I think the Facebook post was a troll.
My wife has had many times more cutting done on her lower abdomen & we've NEVER heard mention of lots of scar tissue or the chance that she couldn't have a following surgery. I view this as pure urban myth.

Hey, brother.
I just got implanted 16 days ago.
When you got another put in was it the same level of Pain/soreness as the First time you
Were implanted?
Did you have to leave work for a couple of weeks?
I'm 56 and I'll probably need another one at some point.
Thanks.

One guy on Facebook? I don't believe one thing I read on FB, especially medical advice.
If you are 20 now, and the life of an implant is 12-15 years, by the time you're 70 you should only need 3 or 4 revisions MAYBE! And that is a big maybe because I'm sure future implants will be better.

The average life of an implant certainly doesn't seem to be 12-15 years right now though

If your biggest concern is the possibility of future revisions I would definitely look at a malleable and talk to a good surgeon. I know they have their limitations as well but no way would I throw the towel in yet, keep searching and dont let one person on facebook seal you to a sexless fate. Another thing to consider.....even if that guy is right lets say you get 1 implant and 3 revisions and then your penis is toast...BUT.... you got 20 years of sex between the ages of 20 and 40. Im not saying to get an implant Im just saying look at every angle before you make a life changing decision
