New Member and about to become bionic!

Postby TuffDadSF » Fri Jan 13, 2023 1:27 pm

Hey guys!

Well, I'm here for the same reasons you all are and am happy to find a group of like-minded people. E.D. SUCKS!

Pretty nervous and excited as I am getting my implant this coming Tuesday (Jan 17th). This forum has been an excellent resource in helping me figure out what I needed to do and how to get it paid for.

Always up for chatting and sharing stories of the journey. Glad to meet you all!

Welcome. Glad you found Frank Talk to learn about ED. It does suck.
Best of luck on your upcoming surgery. You'll be nervous right up till they wheel you into the surgery suite, but all will be fine. After you heal you'll love it.

I am writing this while lying down in my bedroom, about 5 hours after my operation. So far so good.

I'm sore but the painkillers are making me not really care about it. I've been icing and I've peed (yee-ouch! It feels like glass!). I have drained my port a few times now.

Thank goodness for the baby sock on the head! I cannot emphasize how much better it feels in your pants.

Thanks for all the well wishes and I'll be updating as each day goes by.

So the first 24 hours definitely had its ups and downs. There were stretches of time which I felt fine just relaxing and lying down. There were also some very painful times where I had to pee in the shower or move around in such a way that it really hurt.
I also went to the surgeon to get the drain pulled out and I think all of that jostling around along with my painkillers happen to be wearing off made for some excruciating pain on the drive home before I was able to get back on my meds.
The doctor did deflate my penis a little after being at what he said was 50% inflated. I keep getting this weird sensation because technically I can still get hard even without the pump being inflated if that makes sense? Like my glans and the skin around my penis still gets pretty firm which has made for some very difficult urinating.
I'm just going to keep on icing and taking medication trying to get all the swelling down. The surgeon did say that he was very impressed with how good everything looked and I wasn't all bloated and purple down there.
I got the Titan One touch and he said I was an even 22 cm. I guess that's a good size?

Good to hear you're doing well. Yea, the pain the first few weeks will come and go. Peeing was painful after the catheter came out, which I had to remove myself. I also had to remove the drain bag. After a couple days peeing was fine.
Took some time but I still get the sensation that an erection is starting. Having those feelings this soon is good that all your sensitivity will return quickly. It will take time for the Titan to soften up, in the meantime it will look like you are erect without any inflation. Your flaccid will leave a bulge in your pants.

well TuffDadSF, I would say it's wonderful that you feel the engorgement, it means that the doctor left you some erectile tissue, in 4 days it's my turn I will put the same device as your one touch

Thanks for that information! I was getting nervous that maybe there was something wrong and fluid kept filling up the tubes because it does seem like I have an erection 24/7. I have already been able to press the release button on the bulb and I squeezed out more of the fluid. My penis then seemed softer but as soon as a few hours went by and I had to pee it seemed firm again! I was always a grower and not a shower so this is going to be an interesting new way of deciding what I'm going to wear to work when I go back in a few weeks! :-)
