Deflating

Postby Rjm1220 » Mon Jan 30, 2023 9:22 pm

Question:
I have a quick question. When deflating, do your cylinders fully empty?

Depends... If you squeeze real hard, and while squeezing, press the penis in towards your body, and flex/squeeze your pelvic muscles, then yes I believe the cylinders are empty. With my Coloplast Titan, the cylinders are noticeably flat and devoid of liquid.

If I just push the deflate button I find mine still has quite a bit of saline in it.

To get rid on that saline I have to squeeze it out.

But if I squeeze it out I find I get dog ears in the same spots which I do not like. They seemed like they were becoming permanent. So I merely push the deflate button. I have a semi erect penis most of the time now. It works for me.

RJM,

When deflating using only the valve the cylinders will only deflate until the pressure in the cylinders equal the pressure in the reservoir, if you want complete deflation the cylinders need to be squeezed to force the balance of the fluid back to the reservoir. If you squeeze all the fluid out of the your flaccid will not look or feel normal, leaving some fluid without pressure in the cylinders will give you a more natural look and feel.

After surgery it took a couple of weeks to fully deflate I was stuck with a semi for a while and couldn't get it down. Eventually after a bath i managed to get it fully down.

I agree that if I go full deflate then I get the "dog ears" so I have a little in there too

Thanks All…

If i deflate, squeezing it all out, its auto inflates to about 40% within a minute. I can not get it to stay totally deflated.

As a result, when wearing jeans, the semi pushes the head against my clothing, forcing the “pencil tips” of the cylinder into my head. It’s very sore and i can see my head is bruising. )Why would they ever design these things with a pointed tip ?)

My doctor was very dismissive when i showed her. She felt everything was fine and i was healing nicely. I cycle before i go to bed, squeeze all the juice out and in the middle of the night i wake up with a firm chubby.

Boston Scientific said when deflated it should be totally empty and stay that way.

There is a bit more science and math involved when it comes to "emptying" cylinders. The bottom line is that the reservoir and cylinders achieve an equalization in PRESSURE when the valve is opened. Without any other influence or force applied, like squeezing on the cylinders, the amount of fluid remaining is relative to the equal pressure of the system. Don't forget that the valve is in an open position and will allow for pressure to equalize between cylinders and reservoir until it is closed. So for those of you who deflate at night and wake up semi "filled", simply engage the pump and the valve will close.
