What surgeons are willing to trim larger cylinders instead of using RTEs?

If you search for Titan implants & look at the glan end you'll see that there is only a very limited amount that can safely removed.
Eids method is easy to figure out if you take the time to research the pics.
Clarification: Eid has been willing to install an implant that was technically just a little too long. The member I'm thinking of had pain for a few months. Eid was close to revising it but the cylinder finally settled in & the pain stopped. Best guess was that his cruz compressed a little to create the needed space.

AFAIK it's the 5cm uninflatable proximal end that is trimmed. Maybe he can trim up to 5cm.

Why trim the proximal end. The kit comes with an assortment of lengths. So why trim a 5cm when there're shorter ones avaiable in the kit??

Trimming the distal end doesn't make sense because if the tip is removed the fluid leaks out the tip. It is the proximal end that is trimmed, which is not hollow.

The reason you trim a longer one instead of a shorter one is to avoid using RTEs.

So I don't see any reason why Eid would use RTEs unless there is an unusual case.

The distal end does have a thick area to it. That is what is trimmed. I think the distal end on AMS's is thinner thus not as easily trimmed. The trimming does not go deep enough to puncture the actual fluid chamber.
You can spin this anyway that you want. The reality is the distal is trimmed. Less than 1cm of material is available to safely trim. Titans come in 2cm increments. Eid has to us RTE's in many cases. He just uses RTE's in fewer cases. If you read members signiture lines. You'll see Eid patients that have RTE's listed in their signature line.
The proximal end is long & tapered. The taper matches how your cruz is. Trimming the proximal just won't work because the implant taper will still stop as it seats into the taper of the cruz.
Instead of arguing, spend some time searching for Titan implant pics. Pics of what is called the "back table kit" clearly shows the RTE assortment. Other pics show the taper that fits into the cruz. Most mens cruz's are shaped similar. Thus the proximal end of Titans & AMS implants are similarly shaped.

Dr Eid told me himself in an email that the proximal tips are "easily and frequently trimmed" when discussing a redesign that will happen to the proximal tips in a few years.

I’ve got two RTE’s on each side and have had my implant over two years with absolutely non problems and I use the hell out of it!I have never heard RTE’s are bad and cause problems, they are used to make the cylinders fit properly if the length needed to reach mid glans comes up a little short!
71 yrs.old married,ED for 7 yrs.Pills for 3 yrs,TriMix for 21/2 yrs.6 1/2 inches flacid,71/4 inches erect,6 inches girth.Coloplast Titan put in 11/13/20,Dr.Bozeman,Arkansas Urology,Little Rock.22cm + 2 RTE.

Another reason is to make the location (on the implant, where the connecting tubes meet the inflatable tubes) mate up with the incision the surgeon made.

Just because you're happy with it doesn't mean that they don't cause you any problems. You probably have/will have a more wobbly erection which most men would prefer not to have.

So where did you get your data to support RTE’s causing a wobbly erection?Post that info based on a medical study and I’ll get concerned. My erections are like a steel rod!You won’t be able to come up with anything because there are no problems based on medical facts regarding this!

That’s an example of a surgeon who placed the wrong size cylinders in a patient and he came back and put the correct size in.Nothing to do with RTE’s causing a problem when they put the correct ones in.The problem I have with your post is new people coming on here read it and think RTE’s will cause a wobbly erection as you call it and when used properly like they are everyday is just false!
