Recent replacement issue

Postby Newguyr » Sun Feb 05, 2023 1:38 pm

looking for some advice please.
about 5 years ago i had an LGX implant. truly a life changer. About 3 weeks ago i had LGX replaced with Titan as i was having valve issues. My recovery has been so much better than first surgery but i tried cycling this am and after 5 squeezes the pump does not reinflate. stays flat or dimpled. only by deflating does pump refill. i will be reaching out to my Dr tomorrow but does anyone have any ideas or had same experience?

thanks all!

Contact Coloplast's Patient Liaison. The PL often knows workarounds that the surgeon does not. The PL is already paid foyr and can spend more time with you on the phone than the Doctor.

Would be helpful if you state the pump do you have - original Titian (classic) or Touch (OTR) ?

I have exactly the same problem! After 5-6 pumps. I am very interested in any information.
My doctor says "it's all normal" (of course he does). I wrote an email to Coloplast but received no reply.

Is it because there is not enough saline in the system?

I also have a Coloplast Titan Touch.

Kind regards and thank you very much.
28, Titan Touch 3/22. Length + girth back. ED all life. Feeling underfilled. Only 6-7 pumps until pump stays depressed. Hardness acceptable but not very strong. Thinking about malleable implant.

Are you saying that you can't begin pumping until you 1st deflate your Titan from whatever state it already is in?

If so, I don't have exactly the same problem as you but it may be related. My Titan Touch was just implanted on 1/24 and I just started cycling on 2/2.

I can easily begin pump up the implant from it's prior state but, after I fully deflate it, no matter what I do, the implant reinflates itself up to what I consider a semi-erect state (not hard, not soft & still slightly bendable) which currently feels very uncomfortable due to soreness in the penis.

Have a post-op appt to see my doc again on 2/16 and this will be the main topic of discussion.

i can pump from most states however from fully deflated to bulb not inflating with saline solution is 5 pumps, less pumps if not fully deflated at start of pumping. from what’s
i have been reading should take about 30-35 pumps for full erection. that number seems right based on what i’m getting from 5 pumps.

I haven't found a solution yet. I wrote to Coloplast a few weeks ago but have not received a reply. I'll ask my surgeon again. But I suspect there is no real solution? He can't do more than look and pump, can he? Or an MRI, but actually everything works, it just cannot be pumped often enough, so I assume that we are underfilled, i.e. there is not enough saline in the reservoir? If anyone reads this and has suggestions or even a solution, I would be very grateful.
