Scrotum pain 16 weeks post implant

Postby KeithC » Fri Feb 10, 2023 2:00 pm

I had an AMS 700CX 24cm installed 16 weeks ago and I cycle it daily.

Is it normal to have scrotum pain in the spot where you squeeze the bulb?

Its a fairly hard rubber bulb that when you squeeze it completely its quite a bit of pressure on my scrotum tissue. PLUS there are little ribs on the bulb that I imagine dig into the internal tissue some. I have attached a picture of a bulb sample my doctor gave me.

I am squeezing it 20 plus times per cycle. Sometimes I feel like I am smashing my scrotum tissue.

Does ones scrotum toughen up over time or will it always be like this?

FWIW, I'd ask your doc about it.

I'm only 17 days post-op and have been cycling only 8 days but I don't feel any "pain" when I squeeze the pump on my Titan Touch. The scrotal skin/tissue between my fingers and the pump can feel a bit sore or tender while squeezing the pump but it's nothing that I'd call painful. It only takes me 20 sqeezes of the pump to max.

I do remember having a considerable amount of pain when I went in for device training. That’s when my doctor deflated the implant from the partially inflated from surgery day, and they ask you to inflate it. I was painful to squeeze the pump, I only managed about 10 pumps and I couldn’t go further, then you deflate it again before leaving.

I don’t remember if I had pain squeezing the pump at week 16, I probably did but not sure how much, I didn’t keep a diary.

I did have a lot of shaft pain for about 6 months, with considerable pain after after 40 minutes of maximum inflation.

All of us heal different, I believe it took me longer than most guys that are on FT to heal and have no pain pumping or feeling pain in my shaft, but now I have no pain.

I would reach out to your doctor.

Good luck

My scrotum would always get sore until around 6 months. Now it's no problem, but occasionally it feels like there's a vein or nerve in the way.

I'm 2 years out, and I have tenderness of my scrotum skin when inflating/deflating. The pressure it takes to deflate really pinches. One thing I've figured out is to move the pump and slide the skin around, so I apply pressure in different spots. Some areas seem to be more sensitive than others. Also, the pump softens over time.

I'm almost ten weeks out and I'm not feeling any pain when inflating or deflating. My left testicle does still ache quite a bit. It's not too bad when standing or walking but when I sit it can get pretty uncomfortable.

Im 17 months post op and it took a couple of months to get the scrotum toughened up to be able to not hurt so much and i believe the pump itself has them grippers wore a little as to not hurt anymore. Once in awhile it slips out of between my fingers and give you a little yikes, but thats it. What you have is a ams pump and it'll take you a while to get use to.

Leebert, my pump would hurt like heck too, from what my doctor told me, is that your body builds a surgical capsule around the implant and its parts. I don’t even feel the pronounced ridges of the pump anymore, I’m 14 months out from my implant surgery.

I know guys use different pumping methods and there are training videos on how to do different methods, the one that works best for me is:

I use my right hand to pull the pump down, then I use my left hand index finger and thumb and put them at the top of the wide block at the top of the pump and press down with the fingers on top of each side and keep it in place.
Then I place the pump between the knuckle of my right index finger and the lower part of my right thumb.
This allows the forearm muscles to do the work rather than the finger muscles.

This works great for me, you might try it.

Same with me and to add once you find the place of least pain and use it all the time you will toughen that place and the pain goes away.

I’m 13 weeks out and trying to cycle once daily. I’m having the same issue. Occasionally I skipped a day because the skin is too sore and needs a rest.

I did have a Scrotal Hematoma from surgery. My scrotum swelled up the size of a softball, turned black, and many shades of purples and reds. As the swelling went down it peeled twice like a bad sunburn which was extremely painful. Dr. Eid encourages his patients to start cycling 3-7 days after surgery. I couldn’t start until week 6 because of the hematoma. I don’t think the scrotal skin has fully recovered yet and assumed that’s the reason the skin is still pretty sensitive.

I honestly don’t understand how some guys can cycle two or three times a day. Their scrotal skin must have turned to raw hide.
