Deflate Button on the Titan One Touch

Hi : I am just over 4 weeks post op of a Titan One Touch . In feeling the pump and "getting to know it", I am pretty sure that the deflate button is on the left side of the pump. For me it would be much better if it was on the right side (cause I am right handed and I think that if it was on the right side, the thumb on my right hand could push the button while my pointer finger held the side opposite the button) ,

Is everyone's titan one touch deflate button on the left side ? Can it be installed with the deflate button the right side of the pump ?

Is it possible for me to turn the pump around within the scrotum (or is that a really dumb thing to attempt )?

Did anyone's surgeon discuss what side the deflate button would face before the operation ?

Did you get a model of the Titan Touch pump from your doc. I did and it helped me initially to "visualzie" the pump's position in my scrotum.

My pump moves around a bit and sometimes turns to the right but the deflate button is normally positioned vertically (not left or right).

I use the smooth indentation opposite the deflate button to determine the position of the button and, if it's turned to the right, I can turn it back to vertical.

I'm not sure if it can be positioned any other way because of the way the tubing is inserted into the pump. If it's vertical, it shouldn't matter whether you use your left or right hand to deflate it.

I did discuss the pump placement with my doc but only in terms of its position relative to the balls/sack. Not specifically which direction the deflate button was to be positioned.

So maybe this is a dumb question back at you but why not just reverse what your fingers do? Why not place your thumb on the support pad and press the button with your pointer or middle finger? Seems like the simplest solution.

I'm left-handed and it would have been better if the button would have been on the right, unfortunately the bad luck continues and I ended up with the button on the left, as flounder says I reversed the position of the fingers and squeezed with the index instead of the thumb, don't worry afterwards 3/4 times you get used to it

On my One Touch the button is on the left side. I'm right handed and doc told me the button is always placed on the opposite side of your dominant hand. No explanation why. I press the button with my left thumb.

Yes ... good comment/observation, and that is what I may have to do . For me though it would have been more comfortable to push on the deflate button with my thumb while I hold the support pad with my pointer finger .

I think we are each using the concept of "vertical" in a different manner. When I say that the pump is located in a vertical position and that the deflate button is on the left or right side , this is what I mean: The bulb of the pump is in the lowest position, and the tubes are in the highest position . When the pump is orientated as such, and you are standing (not laying down) the button on the pump has to face to the left, right, front, rear, or somewhere in between those points.

I have the genesis but it’s the same concept. After a few months you learn to experiment and use different fingers in different ways . I can inflate or deflate with my left hand or my right and can inflate with either. Best to have several options, never know when you’ll get a Jammed finger or in my case hit it with a hammer…. Lol. You’ll figure a way then.

OK ,,, so in the photo you provided, the way I see it , the deflate button is not on top. The inflate bulb is on the top . Unless what you are saying is that your pump is laying horizontally on the bottom of your scrotum? If that is the case your scrotum is way bigger than mine , cause if my pump was laying horizontally on the bottom of my scrotum, with the tubes coming out of the end where the deflate button is, it would have to be significantly expanding the width of my scrotum .

Maybe the photo you sent actually shows the pump upside down from how it is inside of your scrotum ?
