Could someone advise, is this the recommended way to position the penis to heal.I was advised to point it this way towards the abdomen but it is quite painful.

Congratulations.
I was implanted on Oct 26th.
My Dr. told me to wear compression shorts.
I didn't have much pain, but my penis wanted more to stand straight out.
It takes time to get used to it, but it will get better.
Although I didn't use my pain meds, you may want to, everybody reacts different.
Started with Viagra at age 40. Worked good for about 12 years.
Tried Trimix injections, worked great for about 8 years
Now Trimix no longer works.
I got implant on Oct 26th 2022.

Do what you're told.

Infrapublic patients and told to point it down. Penoscrotal patients are told to point it up.

Main Reason: The location of the incisions.

Pointing down for infrapubic patients keeps the incision clear of obstruction & allows it to stay dry to help prevent infection

Pointing up for penoscrotal patients keeps the incision clear of obstruction and allows it to stay dry to help prevent infection.

Mine was sub-coronal. I am doing whatthe doc/nurse advised and pointing it towards the abdomen, however, thisis proving to be very painful, I am just curious if this is normal, andwhat were other users experiences?

Subcoronal implants are less common.

Hopefully someone else who has had one can chime in but it seems to make sense to point it up to allow the incision to heal properly.

Has the doc prescribed any pain killers for you and are you using them?

Sorry to hear about this, Frank. :(

The problems you are having w/your infrapublic implant seem to be outside the norm. If your doc is of no help, have you considered trying to get a 2nd opinion?

the fact that it can't go down is due to my upward curve, as for the other problems he said it's normal in 70%, and added that it will pass, on the 25th I'm going to remove the points, I think the norm to feel good is from 3 to 6 weeks, let's wait...
