Sleeping on stomach after implant

Postby aussiePeyronies » Thu Feb 23, 2023 8:21 am

Hi guys,

Prior to getting peyronies I use to sleep on my stomach a lot. After peyronies this was just way too uncomfortable and put me at risk of further injury.

I am just wondering if, months after the implant, once the cylinders have softened etc, if you guys are able to sleep on your stomach? Or is there too much pressure on the tubing/reservoir etc

Thanks,
J

I am only eight weeks postop. For the first six weeks I was 60% inflated, and could not sleep on my stomach. I would sleep on my side with a pillow between my knees.

But now, at eight weeks, and able to deflate, I have no problem sleeping on my stomach at all.

I cannot sleep on my back. I was able post op to use pillows to sleep on. One on my chest and the other on my thighs. I would put them on the bed and roll o to the pillows. The space between was enough to reduce discomfort enough to sleep. Maybe 3/4 between side and stomach. Not much at first but in a few days it was ok. I cannot remember how long I did that. I don't think it was a long time and I was able to sleep as I do now on my stomach as I always have.

I sleep a lot on my stomach and have to point my penis up. I find it uncomfortable if it's pointed down, but otherwise no issue at all.

I have always been a stomach sleeper. For maybe 4 months after there was no way I could tolerate being on my stomach. Then it was ok for a while, then by about the one year mark it was no problem. I tuck my penis down my left leg, if I turn and go back might have to adjust again. Now that position gets my low back hurting if I stay on my stomach too long.

FWIW, I've always been a side or back sleeper, which fortunately were the most comfortable positions for sleeping post op for me.
