I remember a conversation w/ my doc before surgery, details fuzzy 3 years out, but I remember there's some calculation they do upon implant, I just don't know if that's driven by Coloplast's recommendations or (as I suspect in my case) more by the surgeon's experiences and patient-to-patient estimations.

I think my reservoir is 120cc if I recall. It's actually an interesting question though, as relates to dick sizing post-implant. I lost a little length and a little girth. Cycled very aggressively and use my implant often and aggressively and never recaptured any size. What other size reservoirs are there available, and what were the factors in play?

If you're giving me a 28cm Titan, either the manufacturer or the doc is estimating a reservoir capacity they believe maxes out that implant in my body. I imagine the functional limit of the materials of my implant are rated at x psi of pressure for my model Titan, and there's some sliding scale of how many cc of reservoir you get based on the next smaller implant and so on, obviously.

Just wondering aloud what the manufacturer in fact recommends as a not-to-exceed saline volume for each differing implant. And if a physician chose a smaller than recommended reservoir...to what degree that impacts size recovery later.

Going to ask my guy to refresh my memory on how he calculates.

Wanted to follow up:

So I talked to Eid a few weeks ago. He said the more likely possibility was that I may have maxed out on my cylinders and all the fluid at Maximum pump was in them. Of course he also said there was a small possibility of a slow leak and I would know in a few months.

For what it’s worth we are about six weeks into this phenomenon and I max out at exact same number of pumps as I did when it started (31-32 full pumps).

I would think that after all this time, if there was a slow leak, my number of pumps would have been reduced, and or I would not have achieved good rigidity anymore.

I agree, I don’t think it is leaking. This happened to my AMS 700 last Saturday. About 20 pumps and the bulb collapsed. I wasn't fully erect. Then I pressed the release button and tried again, this time only about 10 pumps. Needless to say, I was so disappointed because at this point I knew something was wrong. The reservoir was leaking fast. Now I can just pump it once and the bulb collapses. So no erections. I have an appointment on 3/1/23. I am considering a maleable implant where I wouldnt have to worry about a pump abd reservoir.

This collapsed bulb at max inflation has happened to me since implant was new with both an AMS CX and now Titan XL 24. I assumed either it was the max fluid available in reservoir or max pressure allowed as it is always when I am very rigid. Unless something changes and penis isn’t hard when this happens, suggesting a leak, I would just assume that this is a normal variation. I’ve had the Titan for 8 months and no change in rigidity when this happens. One more vote for normal nothing to worry about but you were right to double check with your surgeon. Best

100% ran out of fluid in the reservoir. Clavell told me this as it happened to me very early on. I still grew a little after, but not much

Hello everybody, coming up on my one year anniversary of being implanted.

Pumping to the max has become very easy, but when I get to the max on the last squeeze the pump dimples in and doesn’t go back to its original spherical shape until I press the release valve and deflate. Anyone else experience this? When I feel it during maximum inflation the pump has a “caved-in” feel to it.

Yes I experienced the same thing at about the one year mark. No fluid left in the reservoir to fill the pump
