Insurance Question
Insurance Question
For those of you who used insurance for your procedure, how long did it take for you to get prior authorization? Once you got the authorization, how long did you have to wait before you actually had the procedure? Thanks in advance everybody!
48; Oral meds early 20s-mid 30s. Lots of side effects. Inject ever since, with 4 hrs or longer episodes of priapism. Thought was OK since they weren't longer. PD now. Logistics & pain of injecting have made me seriously consider an implant.
Re: Insurance Question
My initial consult was Sep 22 of last year and the surgery date was Nov 1. I think I received notification of preauthorization a couple weeks before the scheduled surgery date. Anthem Blue Cross. I didn't have any doubt they'd cover it. Hope that helps.
