AMS 700 stopped working

Well, my CX implant failed on 1 February. It wouldn't deflate completely. I tried to squeeze the fluid out, it wouldn't release. I kept squeezing and it popped. I met with my doctor; he is contacting AMS to see what they say about replacing the complete implant. I told him that I wanted a Coloplast Titian. He said, AMS is the best implant. I complain about the CX that he put in 18CM and 5CM RTE, the connections were running down the side of my shaft. He said, he did that because the pump connections wouldn't reach. I know that the AMS cylinders go up to 21CM and you have to special order the 24CM cylinders. I've outgrown the AMS implant, I need a 24CM or bigger cylinders. Coloplast is the only way to go for me. I need more girth also, so I am waiting for him to call me to schedule my surgery.

FWIW, my high volume IPP surgeon intentionally swtiched to Titan from AMS because of problems his patients were having w/the AMS.

So, if you want a Titan, my suggestion is to find a surgeon who will implant it for you. There are many other IPP surgeons who do.
