I had my implant on Dec 22, 2022. The Dr did not want me to cycle for the first 6 weeks after surgery. At my 6 weeks return visit my scrotum was still so so It was painful to touch so he gave me instructions on cycling when I wasn't so sore. About a week later I attempted to cycle and was able to get it pretty hard (but near as long as before), but I couldn't deflate. I tried, the wife tried, the neighbor tried(joking), but we could not get it to go down. I called the Dr and he said to come in, but he's 100 miles away and I had another appointment with another Dr in a couple weeks so I decided to wait and keep trying. After a painful couple of week having to hide a obvious erection at work I was finally able to get to my Dr appointment. He showed me what I was doing wrong. I was using my big fat thumb to deflate the implant and he showed me hot to use just the tip of my thumb to deflate. Now I have been successful deflating without problem.
So here's my question.......having a new implant, it takes me many, many pumps to get it hard. I'm talking 100+ small pumps to get hard. I do not feel the "POP" that others talk about, but I do get hard. I know the pump will get more pliable with time, but is it common to take that many small pumps to get hard?
The good news is that I can now deflate without issue. A 2 1/2 week erection sound fun, but it's painful in your day to day work life.
Thanks in advance!

Re: New implant cycling question
It is hard to compare the # of pumps because some people do shallow pumps and some people do full pumps. The size of the cylinders also comes into play in a very relevant manner . For me , I never have needed more than 25-28 medium (half) pumps to get fully erect.

My pump is so hard I couldn't do a full pump if I wanted to. They are all shallow pumps.

Re: New implant cycling question
It gets softer. After about four months the first 10 are absolutely easy full compression then it gets progresssively harder until about 20-25, then if I wait 5+ minutes I can squeak in a few partials. I cycle about 30 minutes daily.

FWIW, even with very shallow squeezes, +100 squeezes to get your implant to max seems like a lot.
FWIW, I got a 20cm Titan Touch implant 32 days ago and it takes me 25-30 (relatively full) squeezes to get to max w/5 squeezes every 30 mins or so to top it off when sitting in the tub or in front of the TV while cycling.

My bulb is so hard I'm lucky to get the shallow squeezes that I do get. I'd love to get a "relatively full" squeeze on my bulb

Re: New implant cycling question
LOL, same thing I did after doc released me, pumped up but couldn't find the deflate button. Had to go to his office to get deflated. Sad part is not once, but twice. Second time he finally showed me a model of the Titan. Lucky it's not 100 miles to his office!
I use the tip of my left thumb to press it now. Practice. And yes, the bulb will get softer, but it takes time. It takes me about 30-35 pumps to fully inflate.

Didn't mean to sound unsympathetic.
Sounds like something you need to discuss w/your doc but, just speculating, the problem could be due to a blockage possibly caused by a kink in the tubing or some problem w/the pump itself.
I hope you & your doc are able to resolve the problem w/o the need to resort to a revision.
Good luck!

Re: New implant cycling question
It seems that everyone is different from all the threads that I've read about cycling and how hard it gets.
When I got device training at 6 weeks, I could barely pump it 10 times and it hurt like gang busters, and pushing the deflate button was painful too.
There is a troubleshooting video on the Boston Scientific web site for the AMS 700 CX and AMX that gives lots of ways to pump it up, what fingers to use and and how to use the forearm muscles rather than just the finger muscles to get a better pump and not make your fingers tired.
I'll try to attach the YouTube video for the AMS training on another reply.
I'm at 14 months out from implant surgery and now everything is great. I can pump it up with full pumps to around 50 or 60 which is pretty rock hard, but I can wait a few minutes and I can do half pumps to 70 or 75 where my penis is starting to point upwards, at that level I can hang a towel on it. It took a good while to get to this point, because I would have lots of pain after inflating to 50 or 60 for over 45/50 minutes. Now I can pump it up max inflated for over an hour with no discomfort in the shaft of the glans.

Attached is the AMS 700 training video
https://youtu.be/qwp0YfSLxIU
Towards the end of the video there are steps to troubleshoot the pump and do the pull stretch technique to clear up kinked tubing.
I hope this helps with your problem.
