Cock ring when?

Postby zip2512 » Tue Feb 21, 2023 6:13 am

I know this may be a stupid question, but when should you put on the cock ring?

Before or after the injection?

Logically, you don’t want to inhibit flow into your penis, so I would think after the injection, but I’m not sure.

Thanks in advance.

The times I've used the rings I always had best luck with before. Plus it plumps it up and makes it easier to hit the spot.

I always put the rings on right after the shot so they aren't in the way during the shot. But try both ways and use what works best for you.

For me always found it best to put the ring on after the injection, and starting to grow.

I always put the ring on before shot (now before inflating). Found them to be very beneficial.

I echo what others have said.
Try both before injecting and just after injecting.

Logically speaking the use of cock ring helps keep blood and Trimix in the erectile chambers.

I have put the cock ring on before injecting. I then try to force blood into the penis to become slightly erect which helps injecting in the correct spot.
The caveat is I found it takes slightly longer to get erect.

Make sure it's a properly fitting device. Not too tight and not too loose.

A caution with cock rings, they can cause thrombosis (mondors disease) if worn too long.

Recommended period is to wear it no more than 20 minutes and not more than once in an hour.

In my experience, it's best to put them AFTER the injection, but not instantly. Wait 2-3 minutes and then put it on.

If i "plump up" too much before injection i ended up bleeding and even sometimes develop hematomas.

Don't worry about "blocking the inbound flow", your arteries (who bring in the blood) are way deeper in the penis than your veins (who drain the blood and actually need to expand in order to constrict the blood flow). So in short, the cockring will help by blocking your veins while leaving the arteries free.
40 years old, married. ED all my life because of spinal cord injury caused by a tumor in early infant age. Using standard EDEX20 since 2007. Increasingly bad results with EDEX in the last few years, but had very good results for at least 10 years.

This is not medical advice as I'm in no way qualified to give any.

However, it has been my experience that the caution frwmw1 gives is very valid when applied to medical grade constriction rings or novelty/sex shop rings used in place of medical grade rings as used in conjunction with a VED as the sole method of producing and maintaining an erection. In these cases the rings are much tighter and stop nearly all blood flow. Damage can occur if pumped up too much or left on too long.

The discussion in this thread, I assume, is cock rings as used as a supplement to natural erections, pde5 erections or injection erections and even in some cases implant erections. They are not so tight as to cut off all blood or achieve or maintain an erection on their own or used to maintain a VED produced erection. Of course if any ring is worn too tight the same concerns as expressed by frwmw1 will apply but for purposes of this discussion the rings aren't generally worn that tightly.

Some men, myself not included, will wear cock rings for extended periods of time, even throughout the day, as cosmetic enhancements when desiring to show some bulge. I have worn mine for a couple or three hours during play time without issue. My dick never gets cold or purple or hurts from wearing the rings.

How tight you wear the rings will depend on the purpose. If just for cosmetic enhancement I'd assume they are fairly loose. As a supplement to erections they would be worn a bit tighter. And if used as a medical grade ring with a VED they are worn pretty darn tight. With "Pretty Darn Tight" comes wear time concerns.

Always error on the side of caution. It's your dick and you only get one.
