Dating experiences with the implant?

Postby Hillywilly » Tue Feb 28, 2023 4:45 pm

Just wondering if single people with the implant can tell me how satisfied they and their sexual partners are with it? I’m scheduled for surgery April 4th but am nervous about the decision just 3 months ago my dick worked great Hope I won’t be dissatisfied.

Would the possiblity of a bad sexual experience w/an implant (with the possiblity of better experience w/an implant later) be worse than the possiblity of no sex at all with out an implant?
Age 73. Started taking 5 mg Cialis daily in 2000. Minor ED started in 2021. Major ED problem started in 2022. Coloplast Titan (20 cm w/1cm RTE) implanted infrapublicly on 01/24/2023 by Dr. Edward Karpman (El Camino Urology Medical Group, Mt. View, CA).

I am twice your age if you are 33 so that may make a little bit of difference. For me the number of men to females is a lot less. But there are also a lot less women who want sex in a relationship. Thing is that women who have reached 30 have had experience with men who could not get or keep an erection. Happens to even healthy men w/o ED. So it is a plus that with a working IPP that is never a concern. The women I have dated and wanted sex in the relationship were very happy that I had an IPP. I had one who asked if then I had sex when I did not want to. I answered that if I did not want to I would be somewhere else. I bring the subject up after a few dates when I find the woman and I are hitting it off. As women in my age group often do not want sex in the relationship, I tell them it is important to me. So much so that I had surgery so that I can. As posted above if it is not working now and you are unable to have PIV sex with a partner then you have only something to gain.

Congratulations on having the courage to go forward with this. If you do a lot of reading on this site you will find that it is difficult for many men. I read where nearly 1/2 of men over 40 with ED tell no one. Not even a doctor or partner. And if you also read posts of men after surgery you will see that most have a WTF did I do worries. So it happens and is common. I saw this and realized it. It was gone for me for a short time before surgery when I was happy and excited that I was going to kick ED's ass out of my life. But I still had those times with the feelings after surgery. Just be honest with yourself that you are going to get rid of ED and all the bad feelings that it brings.

Thanks man. How long did your recovery take? I am wanting to date women in their 20's do you think that demographic will notice the difference between my implanted dick and a natural?

Recovery was in stages. So it depends on what stage you are looking for. I was activated at 19 days 2 days short of my doctors norm of 3 weeks. Not sure about cleared for sex but maybe 4 weeks. Size at activation with firsts inflation way just over 4". Size at first sex was just over 5". I had size gains out past one year. Depends on how sexually active the women are. And the partners they have. But anyone who feels your penis and scrotum will feel the device. If the women are fairly sexually active they will very likely have had men with that had problems with erections a few times and men who finished way early. Do some reading on how to be a great lover. Most of it is communication and understanding when something is working and when it is not as women differ in what they like. That is what women care about. Like I said the women I have been with were very happy when they learned that I would have an erection every time I wanted and for as long as I wanted. Many times they would tell me to stop and it seemed to be very new to them to have to do so.

What size did you start out as Newbie? Hakky tells me I will recover my original size in 12 weeks but I am a bit scared I don't know how small that means i'll be in the meantime.

The only thing that would produce an erection before surgery was VED. And I only used that for penis exercise. I never used the construction ring so that was only inside the VED tube. In my healthy youth I measured at 7" when I had good glans engorgement. Post op I get some glans engorgement, but I have not tried oral meds or urethral jell. Nor have I tried a VED and construction ring. I had about 10 years of ed and doing nothing about it and size loss from that. The LGX will expand in length more than the CX or the Titan. This I think is the reason for gains with continued cycling for the first 2 years. Hakky was a Coloplast Center of Excellence and strongly leads to Titan implants even though AMS commands a large lead in implants sold. As I have posted before men are different and doctors are also. So my results with a different doctor and a different device likely will not be the same. Even with the same doctor and the same device there will be differences as men are different. And again, follow your doctors' instructions as that doctor cut you open and knows more about you than anyone else. After that doctor releases you as fully healed (usually 3 months) then you can decide if you want to try other things you could not get your doctor to sign on with. I tried VED therapy one time post op and had pain, so I never did that again. From what I have read VED use post op accelerates the gains of just cycling alone. And the Titan will not continue to increase in size like the LGX does. And Hakky is giving you a general rule from the men he has treated. It seems to me that all men would not be at 12 weeks. Some less and some more.

The first time I had sex I was right at 5" and maybe a tiny bit under. The woman was so happy that I had an erection that lasted for as long as she wanted moving around to different positions. I guess her prior partners would not stay hard as she had had a knee replaced and it took extra time to move around. I told her it was early in my recovery and would get longer but she just smiled, and we kept going. And she kept having orgasms.

In my research I read that each of us (male and female) are responsible for our own orgasm. That is no one can give anyone an orgasm. You can however cause it not to happen. Stopping too soon. And different reasons for different women. So research information about ways to stimulate a woman. And ways to avoid. Then you still need to pay attention when you try these on women to see if they work. Women differ a lot. So learn to not do anything that gets in the way of the woman's orgasm or multiple orgasm and where you are in recovery will not matter. I also read that women enjoy having sex even without the big O. There is so much more to helping a partner to enjoy sex than penis size.

I understand how you feel as ed is bad enough alone without the loss of size that many times will happen. I was able to get most of my size back. But it seems some will not be recovered. I think had I gone local with this the loss would have been greater.

I started dating my now current wife 2 years ago.... who is 8 years younger than me (I'm 50 she is 42)....with a non functional implant.
I was able to get to a natural erection good enough for penetration and orgasm with a lot of stimulation.
I am a very attentive and unselfish lover and made sure that she was pleased long before it became time for PIV.
Tons of foreplay, teasing, build up and oral.
She was satisfied and I was still able to finish which she was pleased about.
After you get implanted....most woman won't care...especially if you're an attentive lover
My wife didn't care....and I had an implant that didn't even work!
50 yrs old - 1st implant at 24 years old in 97 Ams 700. Failed 03
6.5" / 5.5 girth natural erection w/ failed implant
Revision done 2/20/23 done by Dr. Levine Rush University Chicago - AMS 700 CX 21cm + 2cm/1.5 RTE - Currently 6.7" / 5.75 girth
