Bulge right side penis - w/ pics Recovery Day 9

I am recovery day 9. No pain unless sitting down too fast.
Bruising and swelling much better.
As I was feeling around down there I can feel a significant bulging of what feels like a bunch of tubing and mild swelling on right side next to penis.
No pain there.
My revision and vasectomy was done through penoscrotal.
Can you assure this is normal?

You look great for day 9. I have the same bulge in the same spot. And yes, you are right it is from the tubing protruding a bit. It causes me no issue.

yup - that's your tubing I believe, mine runs the same way.

I did not have any swelling in that area BUT that doesn't mean you have an issue. It's only been 9 days you say so you are still healing and the swelling could be a simple symptom of that.

You look great healing-wise, I wouldn't worry about your swelling at all. Your swelling doesn't look angry, red, or bruised.

I assume you have a follow-up coming soon so mention it if it's still an issue but this layman thinks you look to be in great shape.

There are a couple of wider small sections. I know they crimp the tubing together in places from what I have seen on videos....maybe that's what I am feeling as well. Or maybe the vasectomy work?

It has nothing to do with your vasectomy I am confident - I was awake for mine and they didn't futz in that area at all.

It is totally your implant - and likely just the tubes but ask him/her to explain what you are feeling when you see them again.

I have that on my left side where the reservoir is placed. When doing a revision some doctors leave the first reservoir in place and drain it. Then put the new reservoir on the other side. My first doctor had videos and he removed the old reservoir. On several of them a large blood vessel was ruptured and he found it and repaired it. This it seems is the reason some doctors leave the old reservoir in place.

He did leave my old reservoir in place and drained but my last implant was intra pubic and it is just a little above my penis.
There area is actually where my old pump had migrated up too.
It does all feel mostly like just tubing except a small spongy area. Maybe just some residual swelling.
My old implant was in for 26 years.....maybe some leftover tissue that tried encapsulate that?
I will be sure to ask during my follow up visit on the 17th.

Mine is closer to the base of the shaft. Most likely you are correct that there is a splice in the tubing as even on pre-connected devices the tubing to the reservoir has to be spliced. I would say due to a bit of swelling that this fell different for a while. As you heal and tissue returns to normal the pump may drop down a bit and that tubing will go down with it and it will move closer to the shaft. If not it is not such a bad thing to live with to have working erections again. Just keep an eye on it and for signs of infection. Looks like the doctor did a good job to me. And most assuredly is nothing to do with the vasectomy.

The more I feel around where the tubing is....there is definitely some spongy tissue. More than just swelling. Maybe the size of a pea. It's moveable but not far.
It's gotta be left over from where this pump sat for 26 years.
