got my titan today (updated, questions)

Postby phliptrip » Thu Mar 02, 2023 5:36 pm

Pretty pain free at the moment, cant seem to pee, like its pinched. post op 6hrs and bp dropped to 74/45 & then 80/55. So back to local er.

Biggest complaints so far, bandaging was shadey as shit... Almost all fell off first 3 times tried to pee. Drain has filled 3 bulbs. Doesnt seem to be filling fast now. Minimal pain. Was pen/scrot.

I'm at hospital again, but any thoughts from people whove went through this before.

Not looking for med advice more just peoples experiences so i dont feel quite so alone amd got some idea what is expected.

Edit: hosp has me at 104/59.

Sounds really similar to my experience 3 weeks ago (AMS 700). My procedure was infrapubic. Probably right on track. Two week mark you’ll start feeling close to normal. Ice for the first few days, and try to walk as much as possible.
Good luck.

I had a infrapubic Titan implant w/a drain & catheter on 1/24 about 5 wks ago.

Stayed overnight at the hospital and the nurses repeatedly disposed of urine and drainage thru the night. Lots of fluids. Given the volume of both, I was glad that I stayed overnight at the hospital.

Drain & catheter were removed the next morning. The hardest thing to do was be pee before getting permission to leave the hospital. Had the same problem after a double hernia operation.

No pain but a lot of soreness in the dick & balls for about 2 weeks. Still have some tenderness in the left nut which I think was abused during the procedure while installing the reservoir on that side.

Have been putting off rowing again (it was my main form of exercise pre op) because of the tenderness in the left nut. Can also feel it walking up stairs and sometimes sitting.

The soreness & tenderness has lessened progressively over time and it should be all gone w/in 6-8 wks post op.

Well after finally peeing at hospital (thank god not another cath), and blood pressure stabilizing out at 120/60 they sent me home after dumping a bag of saline into me.

Things feel a bit... squished and tight in there, but no real pain still. Drain still biggest annoyance, be glad when that's gone. Think I'll then shop for something with some compression to keep everything up right and supported for a bit.

Thanks for sharing your experience and suggestions! Once I'm not high on opiates anymore I'll post up my story. Maybe save someone some panic like me.

So post surgery now, went back for my 4 day later drain removal... it literally was a 1h drive there... and back... and <5m in waiting room, <1 minute to remove drain, lol. He checked stitches, swelling, closure lines and all looked good, told me I was safe to take showers again, but put a bandaid over the drain hole if I took one in next 24h, but it'll close on its own. No infection so far, all looks good. Balls are surprisingly not very swelled (I expected them to look like they went a few rounds with tyson), the point there is any pain is where it bends. He pumped it once more and then that was that.

No other issues along the way, cycling tylenol and ibuprofen every few hours.

And today I learned on my own how to cycle my titan, why might you ask before my doctor recommended I do such a thing, would I be doing such a thing?

Well I was at a location with a rather small toilet and the miralax did what it does and demanded i do what i do... I could not have my penis in the toilet without it touching the inside of the bowl (and no external catchment available) and being nearly bent over at the waist which gave my fecal blaster an angle that would have sprayed the hinges of the seat. Pushed the block firmly, squeezed my dick, and CLEAR.

Think thats most comfortable my dicks been since surgery tbh lol, pumped and refilled afterwards to level it felt at prior. Uncomfortable semi-chub is back. Neither the deflate or inflate was painful. It does make a weird noise that is apparently common with the "classic" pump. Showed wife later in bed room to see if she could hear it... She says no.

It really is strange to see other side of the shower vs grower coin.
