Pain when deflated

Postby aussiePeyronies » Thu Mar 16, 2023 11:07 am

I was deflate today after 5 weeks of being inflated. I have a lot of pain along the shaft, it was less painful when it was inflated.

It's causing me issues with sleep. Does anyone know how long this lasts? I am assuming my body is adapting to the deflated state?

Thanks,
J

a couple of weeks, if you have bruises put hirudoid 400 gel for cream, if you don't have bruises put artrosilene gel, this is what the doctor gave me, to this day I'm still putting artrosilene gel every night to take away the inflammation

Everybody is different in their healing process. My dick got very sore especially where the implants bent and had dogears. Only thing that helped mine was to partially inflate to hold it more straight so it didn’t dog ear. In time it toughens up and you’ll not even think about it. This is definitely a big transition time for the healing to control work. There will be many ups and downs thru this process though. In 6-8 months it will be all over and it’ll seem like a bad dream!

Most men feel pain or discomfort when the implant is inflated, not deflated, due to the stretching of the implant inside the penis

My guess is that the pain you are feeling while your implant deflated is probably related to the work you had done to your shaft to fix your Peyronie's disease and not to the implant procedure or the implant itself and that pain should go away as soon as your shaft has healed sufficiently.

In reading the replies I think it has to do with the dog ears of the cylinders and the work the doctor did. If it was just the work the doctor did it would cause you pain all the time. The thing with deflation is to get as much fluid back into the reservoir as possible so tissue dose not form around it. Try to find a level of inflation that you can live with for a flaccid. And that will take enough of the pain away. That way if tissue forms around the reservoir and you have discomfort or auto inflation to that point you can live with it. My LGX had dog ears when they are said to be softer and not have them. I would put a few pumps in to get ride\ of them and found I like to have my implant with a few pumps in it all the time. You may also want to try the creams if you want to fully deflate and have a smaller flaccid. There were other creams recommended that men used with good results. Try a search for them.

I believe the pain is because more bleeding can occur when it's easier for blood to enter the shaft.

Dr. Clavell says he leaves his patients inflated post-op to reduce bleeding.

Yes but how long? The OP is 5 weeks post op and was just activated. That seems to me to be a lot longer than my 3 weeks and others on this site. I had observed that Dr. Clavell does not agree with the publication about the coffin effect and early cycling.

Thanks for the replies guys, a lot of good info and support, appreciate it.

Just to note, I was left inflated for so long as I had the TEP done, this requires inflated for 4-6 weeks. Although, I should have been partially deflated after week 3, I remained about 80% inflated until week 5.

Can anyone confirm if the creams actually work? Do you just apply it to the scrotum?

Thanks again,
J
