Why no "pop"?

I've been cycling for about a month. Doc says I should feel a "pop" when I start cycling as the valve opens to allow the saline in. I've felt this maybe twice since I stated cycling. Any idea why it doesn't pop?

The only time I don’t hear the pop is if the pump activated on its own when I could have been on my road bike cycling, or I was doing an exercise and the pump got pressed somehow between my boys or on the couch.

It’s a very slight sort of pop, if there is background noise, you might not hear it.

I just started cycling 2 days ago, and the pop is very noticeable. The first day I cycled I felt the pop, then put in 100 pumps and never got to the point that I couldn't pump any more. That worried me a bit.

This morning I cycled again, felt the pop and could only get in 24 pumps before the bulb is too hard to pump.

I think that the first time I cycled I was gripping the block in a manner that depressed the deflate button a little bit, which resulted in no loss of erection, but the pumps were letting fluid by the valve instead of routing it to the cylinders. I would pump and it would just replace the fluid that seeped out because of my slightly depressing the button, so the pump/release just cancelled out.

I guess what I'm saying is, make sure there's no pressure anywhere near the deflate button when you give it that first sharp pump and see if you feel the pop then. Then stay away from it while you pump. I'm happy the button is so pronounced, deflation is extremely easy, but I have to get used to holding it just right when I pump up.

Change the way you hold it and see if there's a difference.

In my case, the 'pop' lessens in timbre over time.

Early on, every time it popped I could hear it faintly but I could absolutely feel the pop in my bones! The pop was that powerful, I could hear it underwater even.

A year later, if it did 'pop' it was barely discernable really. To this day I don't really notice it. Just my experience.

The very last line of my post was supposed to communicate that I'm aware of my place in the cycling/pumping hierarchy, I thought maybe there was something I could add to be helpful. I guess not. Maybe it'll help someone else.

This is strange. I can make mine do the pop back to back to back. Like I put in just one pump and get a pop, then hold the deflation button for a second, then one pump again and it pops again.

One possibility I was thinking that made me feel like commenting was it reminds of a Kindle I had a while ago. I think it had a way to turn the page and there was a slight click feeling. I noticed it, but both my parents and some other people I know could not feel it (and no offense since you're not that old but it was older people I knew who couldn't tell it). Are you positive there's no pop whatsoever? Do you have a partner who could try to listen for it? Mine isn't especially loud, but what made me hesitant to share was it is more noticeable than that Kindle thing I think, so I don't know why you're not getting a pop.

Are you sure you're fully deflating? When you hit the deflate can you hear or feel the buzz sound it gives (assuming the CX works the same as mine, but I don't know that either)? When fully inflated does it deflate on its own or do you have to hold it? Make sure you deflate it all the way, even squeezing tightly around your penis and balls when holding deflate because that makes sure you get out all the liquid.

Thanks for the reply. When I deflate I hit the button and squeeze my penis several times until it's as limp as it's going to get. But still no "pop". Otherwise it works fine and I have no issues, I was just curious why it didn't pop when I start pumping.

Thanks for the reply. When I deflate I hit the button and squeeze my penis several times until it's as limp as it's going to get. But still no "pop". Otherwise it works fine and I have no issues, I was just curious why it didn't pop when I start pumping.

It's a good reason to be curious because I don't get why you don't have a pop either. Hope your doctor can help.
