How long did it take you to decide to get an implant?

I started my ED journey in about 2007. Started with pills over about 8 years (all three over that span), then the pump up until about 2020. Started trimix injections which made me 18 again. Things were trucking along just fine until a few months ago. As I am a veteran on medicare and tricare for life, I was getting my trimix through express scripts at a rate of $70.00 for 10ml which would give me 40 injections. Recently express scripts dropped 1500 pharmacies from their approved list. Now, there are no approved compounding pharmacies close enough to get the trimix shipped.

So, being on medicare and tricare for life, I can get the implant for absolutely not one penny out of pocket. So, today, I am making an appointment with my URO and find out how soon I can get the bionic dick!

Pills 10 years, they failed at 3 times the recommended dose so went to injections. Within 2-3 months of injecting I knew I had to do something better and that’s when I discovered implants. Did a mountain of research! By 10 months of injecting I had doubled 3 times on amount of trimix and was getting some very mild scaring. Decided it was time so took 3-4 weeks to confirm insurance coverage and another week to decide on surgeon. Called for appointment in early November saw Dr first time in mid March, scheduled asap which was may 15
