In retrospect since getting the surgery, maybe he's right maybe he's wrong, but I wish I at least tried them for a while, you should also look into vein embolization, it's not a long term fix but it can work for some people and surely it is better to atleast try and fix the issue rather than committing to fake erections for life, with an implant, especially as a young person. Most of this forum is populated by old men more than double our age, they are living very different sex lives to a young man so while the opinions are valid, just take that into consideration. Get some therapy before you make the decision aswell. This is all advice I wish I had been given and taken before I had my surgery.
I am 30, had embolization done 4-5 years ago. It helps, then it fades. I think its typical. So no need to worry/regret passing that step. It also comes with its own possible complications.
About injections, i think you are from UK, kinda surprised your doc is reluctant giving you shots. I thought it is standart algorhytm in UK trying all other standart therapies (pills pump and injections) before jumping to implant. Anyway my Uro also told me if I cant work it out with pills next step would be the implant and injections are not his treatment of choice for young (possibly because of scarring risk or priapism maybe)
How is it going with implant, whats the sensation like? Did you have any chance trying it solo or with a partner? Tell us.
