Finding a surgeon
Finding a surgeon
My urologist suggested I consider an implant, and that there are good surgeons they can refer, surgeons being plural. Yet Hakky is the only Atlanta based surgeon that comes up within the physician finder. Just wondering if there are lots of good surgeons that simply don't participate in FrankTalk's "physician finder," or if I should take the initiative of reaching out to Hakky? I like the idea of surgeons that my urologist knows, but my priority is to have the best possible doctor. Thanks in advance for your guidance on this topic.

Re: Finding a surgeon
Based on reputation alone and a lot of good reviews here, I’d put Hakky at the top of my list.
A lot of urologists can “do” an implant, but here we consistently recommend high volume surgeons. My local urologist said he can “do it”, but he said he does 3-4 per month. My doctor dies 5 per day, 2/3 times a week. They’ve seen it all and are experts in this very specialized procedure. Hakky is one of those guys.

Active, athletic 63 years old. Sexually, still 33 in my mind and spirit. Pills and injections all worked, until they didn’t. Diagnosed with veinous leakage in 2022. Coloplast Titan. 22 CM. No RTE. Peno-scrotal. Implanted 1/4/23. Dr. Clavell.

in Russia it simple, because we have only one of them. In USA I recommend you ask their complication level. It should be less then 2% I guess
