One of the reasons that I am postponing implant (other than being really young) is that I am really worried about the failure of implant everyday when I go to inflate especially after reading so many failures here. It feels like having a time bomb and everyday could be the last day of your implant if something goes wrong.
I understand that you can do a revision but with every revision still is the chance that some fucked up shit happens and you might even get an infection and totally lose your dick and not get another implant. I know I am too paranoid but it is difficult to make the decision when you are young and still can get a 10seconds erection (worth of nothing anyway)
Do you worry constantly that the implant will fail?

Re: Do you worry constantly that the implant will fail?
One statement...
I would rather live a year like a lion...than 100 years as a sheep.
I have been on both sides.
I have experienced the panic and despair when attempting to use my pump and finding that is has failed....and the only way to fix it was a surgery.
Having lived with a wonderfully functioning implant....instant and perfect erections on demand....experiencing a failure...and a revision....now back to a perfect erection....
I do obviously want my implant to last as long as possible but being 50...I know likely multiple more revisions are in my future.
So be it... I will enjoy every moment with my perfect erection....until it doesn't work...and them I take the steps necessary to get it back.
But life is about living in the moment right?!...and right now....the moment is amazing.

Re: Do you worry constantly that the implant will fail?
No. I just got mine and there's no point worrying about it.
If it fails, it fails and, if that happens, I'll just make arrangements to get it fixed.

Age 73. Started taking 5 mg Cialis daily in 2000. Minor ED started in 2021. Major ED problem started in 2022. Coloplast Titan (20 cm w/1cm RTE) implanted infrapublicly on 01/24/2023 by Dr. Edward Karpman (El Camino Urology Medical Group, Mt. View, CA).
Re: Do you worry constantly that the implant will fail?
I never, ever worry about that happening.
I’m 3 yrs, 3 months in to being a bionic man. All mechanical devices fail. I’m not going to last forever either, although I plan to give it a good try.
If this one does quit, I’ll have them install another. No big deal. The bigger question is what in the world would I get installed? Right now I have the 18 cm LGX + 5 RTEs. For a total of 23 cm. Seems like guys who have been implanted a while & get revised require 2-3 extra cm. I suppose you could do that with a 21 cm LGX but it gets decidedly mixed reviews for longevity. So maybe we try a 24 cm Titan plus a 1 cm RTE? Who knows?
Other than bad sss bruising I found the surgery and recovery to be pretty easy. So I’d do it again in less time than it takes to say “oh shit the implant quit!”
Right now my LGX shows no signs of being tired or worn out. Maybe I’ll get 20 yrs out of it.

Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.
Re: Do you worry constantly that the implant will fail?
I'm not. May be because Coloplast promise me replacement in case of it. But I don't hear lot of stories about broken implant anyway
Age 33.
Have about 8 month ED, started use pills and injection but stop it
now with Coloplast Titan Touch by Dr. Menshchikov.
If you want to look at implant you can call me.

This is the first I've heard of issues with the 21cm LGX.
Can you elaborate, as well as point me to the source?
Thanks.

As i understand it, Coloplast has a lifetime warranty for the unit itself --- probably. However, you will still need to pay the surgeon for the surgery. Am uncertain of costs to redo my Titan when mine does break.
Venous Leakage (which I believe caused by my overuse of the Bathmate VED)
