Well I am far from medical, but could the reservoir he put in be too small?
Mine gets so hard that, as they say, a cat couldn't scratch it...
Rock Hard?

I went back to see my surgeon, Dr. Paul Perito yesterday. He inflated me fully and said for an implant this is a rock hard erection. My wife and I both felt my shaft and were shocked at how it didn't feel rock hard to us.
I've read so many of your stories about being as hard as when you were 18. This is nowhere near as hard as when I was a young man.
Any thoughts?
The lack of an objective measure for hardness of erection is a shame. If there was such a measure, we could quantify hardness" and really pin down what we are talking about. As it is, most implants (absent mechanical failure or medical mistake) are always sufficient for sex. That yours is not (and from a surgeon as reputable as Dr Perito) is surprizing. ... Unless your criteria for "hard enough for sex" is different from mine.
I can hang a bath towel from my implant-inflated penis and walk around with it dangling - and my penis does not dangle, but sticks straight out. If yours does (and I opine that it must if Dr Perito saw nothing wrong with it), I will ask you to describe what the shortcomings are that make it inadequate for sex.
If you hold the base of your penis steady with one hand, how far can you bend the shaft (at the glans) with the other?
What was Dr Perito's response when you and your wife told him that you did not feel it was hard enogh for sex?
Are you talking about the ability to but a dent in your shaft, "mushiness" of your shaft?
Are you talking about firmness of your glans (penis' head)?
Color me confused.
Perhaps it is time from a second opinion from another surgeon?

Re: Rock Hard?
At full pumps (20-22) I am certainly harder than any natural erection I EVER had.
Had a few experienced opinions and they agree that it looks great-- can't tell it's an implant UNLESS fully pumped--then they report it feels unnaturally hard.
I think this is common for most posts I read on here. Never heard anyone say "I wish I had got the other model, it's not hard enough." BOTH manufacturers will be HARDER than natural when fully healed and fully pumped.
Maybe you're not fully healed?
Maybe you're not fully pumped? Defect of some sort?
