Good morning…..went to bed last night and inflated…..can’t deflate…deflate button depresses and no vibration noise….vibration noise is normal for ams 700 CX when deflating. won’t force deflate either.
Texted with Dr this morning….office tomorrow…..implanted only 11 months. Has anyone experienced this? Has anyone had just the pump replaced? What was the surgery like? Easier or more difficult than the original?
Happy Easter to me!

Thanks biker…. Yes, tried that also…. I think pump is dead! Feeling unlucky!
Pain and more outgo of money on the way….I was always thinking “will this last only 5 years, 10 years, or will I be the lucky one that gets 20 years”
Honestly thinking of having the whole thing removed and forgetting about it. Ed started at 57..
Surgery at 59 and now at 60. Probably don’t want a yearly surgery. I don’t think I’m part of the 95% satisfaction rate!

You may also want to reach out to to your AMS rep. They have some fixes that are not in your AMS DVD. And it will make a record at AMS about your problem.

Re: Pump failure……Ams 700 cx
Im skeptical that the satisfaction rates are so high for long term implantees. I think maybe these studies generate these statistics from men implanted for the first time maybe several months or a year after implant. At that point they are so happy to have an erection again by any means that they feel satisfied.
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is sexual health expert Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. I also have mild BPH

AFTERNOON UPDATE:
Posting this for anyone that may find themselves “stuck”. I took a long hot shower.. kept hot water flowing on my sac. Was able to then squeeze the side bar and then deflate with the button…. Then inflated again and was able to deflate normally…..tragedy averted.
Thank G-D!
Warm water is our friend with implants….
Thanks for the replies!

I wholeheartedly agree. My pump started working flawlessly after sitting in my 104 degree hot tub. Not only can I feel everything so clearly as if I was holding it in my hand and not inside my scrotum (due to my sack relaxing so much), I had only been cycling for about a week and putting in 40-60 pumps and during my first hot tub session I was max hardness with 8-12. Now I'm 8-12 inside or out of the hot water.
I think getting things all warm down there can make a difference. Glad to hear it resolved for you
