Understanding Cycling + Perito Exercises

Postby returntocenter » Tue Apr 11, 2023 7:17 pm

Hi guys,

I'm considering an implant and want to fully understand what I'm getting myself into. I have a few questions to that end:

1. Are you supposed to continue cycling forever? I seem to have read that some guys here cycle 30 minutes a day long after their surgery date is past. If it's necessary it's necessary, but it is annoying to think that my penis might continue to demand extra attention and time from me even after the 'final solution'. I'd love to be able to do this and mostly stop worrying about my penis.

2. If you don't continue cycling indefinitely, will you then start losing length? Is this an ever-present risk, or is a there a point by which length loss in no longer a problem?

3. When your implant eventually fails and gets replaced, is there once again a risk of length loss?

4. Is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJaZCeJjxIM the famous 'Perito Exercise' people talk about here? Are there any other exercises he recommends? I see users refer to them as 'Perito Exercises', plural.

Thank you.
Age 27. Tried pills, injections, shockwave therapy, rings, healthy lifestyle, alternative meds.

Yes.

My doc told me to cycle 2x/day for at least 3 months post OP as an essential part of the recovery process.

For after that, see below.

Yes, I think that this could happen. The longer a man has ED, the more likely the size of his penis can atrophy.

Use it or lose it.

I see no reason why this couldn't happen to some degree post OP if do not cycle or otherwise use the implant continually.

Most men get at least 1 nocturnal erection everyday and guys w/wives & regular sex partners have sex at least 1-2x a week.

So, I'd say that to keep your dick in good shape, you should cycle your implant at least 10-15 mins/day to while cleaning up in the bathroom in the morning simulate a daily nocturnal erection and, if you aren't fucking someone and/or masturbating at least 1-2x/wk, throw in 1-2 extra 30 -60 min cycling sessions/wk to make up for that.

At least that's what I plan to do.

Others here who have had their implant far longer than me reportedly do much less than this

I'd say it's ever present. See above

I do not believe that ever a risk of loss of length as a result of IPP surgery, as long as you are properly sized by the surgeon and there are no complicating factors.

Yes, this is it but the demo is ridiculous and he never adequately describes how the exercises should be done.

No dick (implanted or not) can be bent the way he demos it. I tried and the best I can do is about 45 (not 90) degrees in each direction.

I ultimately decided that it was a waste of time because both he & my doc said that fucking and/or masturbating was just as good and I prefer to do those things instead.

LOL!

No, that's it.

No, I don't believe the goal is to cycle forever. The cycling is to ensure that the scar tissue and your body don't encase the implant and keep it from it's full potential. Most doctors will recommend you cycle for about 3 months and then the "die is cast". Your body builds tissue around the foreign objects to protect itself. From that point, normal inflation of the cylinders and use will make sure the capsule does not shrink further. During it's formation is the most important time to cycle and stretch the developing capsules.

My wife has breast implants, she moved them around pretty forcefully for the first few months to ensure a capsule didn't form around them and tighten them up. Now, they move just as freely and naturally as the most amazing 36C breasts you've ever seen. Other women have complimented her on her natural breasts.... ;) She hasn't done those exercises on them for 15 years, her natural movement and other normal situations have kept those capsules large and loose.

That being said, I plan on cycling for as long as I possibly can. Men report seeing benefits even as much as a year out due to repeated cycling. I'll also use the VED once a day too, just to give myself every opportunity to maximize the outcome of the implant. At some point, I'm sure I'll "peter" out...

My doctor made a comment that makes perfect sense to me, and I thought was insightful of him. When I asked if I should cycle forever and use a VED, he said that was up to me, but his goal was to get me back to being as close to who I was BEFORE the ED hit me. Cycling, pumping, worrying about your penis can put a man back into the "less than" frame of mind. It can make us feel like we need to do something extra all the time to be 'normal'. Sure, do what you need to do for the best outcome, especially post op, but his concern seems to be getting you back to feeling as naturally about your sex life, your ability to perform and your relationship dynamics as possible. That does not include cycling for the rest of your life. I think that's what you're getting at with your question, and you're spot on to be thinking about it that way.

Would be nice if the IPP could cycle itself over night like a natural erection. Perhaps future models

Thanks, this helps clear things up. I'll gladly cycle day for up a full year if that maximizes my sizes. It's nice to know that after that, 'normal' use alone should do the job of preserving your length.

Perito is not the only doctor recommending penis exercises. Here Clavell shows the same thing.

Interesting you mention that.

My implant Doctor said this WILL be a reality in less than 5 years.
In fact, this is why he instructed me to go with the AMS 700 system.
He's already seen the "AMS Bluetooth demo" and he said it worked fantastically
well and my revision would be very easy to install.

Incredibly, the Coloplast design has no plans(At least not yet) to go Bluetooth.

We shall see soon.
