Revision

Postby sliphill » Fri Apr 14, 2023 12:00 pm

Well I had my revision 2 days ago. The first day was a bitch. I went home with a catheter and a drain. Very uncomfortable, felt like ai had to pee constantly. But had those removed yesterday and feeling pretty good. Im swollen and black and blue but other than that, I can’t complain. Little sore, but not overwhelming. On the road to recovery.

I just had my revision too 9 days ago, I know what you mean about the cathetor had that on my first implant. Ice has been my best friend to relieve swelling, just remember to have a barrier between the ice pack and your skin. Best wishes on a speedy recovery.

I hated the catheter on initial surgery that after revision I pleaded with the staff to let me go home without one. They told they would do that if I could urinate in the bottle before discharge. Being determined and still groggy I tried hard and eventually was able to let loose a stream which got out of my control and hit everything (and everybody) but the bottle. Nurse was not amused but I went home without catheter!
