You seem to be dissatisfied with the penile implant? why is sex with a natural penis a million times better? thats not my understanding from reading all the posts on this forum. That is very discouraging to hear. On the other hand, sex with a normal penis without the peyronies i have is also a lot better so i dont know how to get the correct perspective on this.

Tell me exactly why you dont like the implant please. Thank you!

an implant will never feel like a natural penis, it always has 2 cylinders and a pump that feel, they told me that if the glans swells first it will swell later, the vast majority is not true, even for me, I'm almost 12 weeks and I only reached orgasm 3 times with a lot of effort, now it's gone, they said I didn't lose size and the cock became flat like a sausage losing circumference, it is clear that whoever had a non-functioning cock and very far ahead with age sees the implant as a miracle, my dick was still working with pills, it works better for you, better try to find a non-implant peyronie specialist, otherwise it takes 10 minutes to convince you that the best thing for you is an implant

Hey Frank,

Just curious which model he implanted you with? Are other patients of his dissatisfied as well? Did he give you references of his past patients for you to talk with prior to the surgery?

For those who have implants: Would you rather wait, see the penis gradually disappear but still use the natural erections until they no longer work, or just stop the suffering and size decrease by getting an implant even tho the erections are working? is sex with a thin natural penis better than an implanted penis?

I can't help you but have you spoken with @aussiePeyronies yet? If not, you should. PM him or post a msg in his journal thread here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=20890

He's the only one here currently that I know of who had Peryonies & who got an implant along w/a TEP (tunica expansion procedure) to fix his peryonies & ED.

it wouldn't have helped to have me give names, he would have given me those who are happy, I too hope that sensitivity returns, thanks, but I think that at almost 3 months I see it badly, being an infrapubic that according to many, recovery is faster I believe that if she hasn't come back she won't come back

Yep dick is fatter now after implant then before, albeit more oval but that’s easily fixed with some time in the ved.

For now i wont do anything but in a few years my dick will be a stick with no girth and i just cant see how that will be satisfying for anyone. Im also pretty sure ill eventually have erection issues... But who knows maybe science will solve the issue in 5 years and I'll be regretting an implant...

Greatful for answers and perspectives, thank you!

chief reason i got the IPP was scar tissue (peyroines) was causing narrowing. I think I prefer my injection erection but Dr told me that would make my dick worst over time so I decide to preserve my dick in the state it's in now. right call or not? Not sure, time will tell.

Hillywilly & others. When you see the gradual progression of peyronies. I don't see any benefit to delay what most of the medical people say it the gold standard treatment. Sure I understand the hope of recovery or a new treatment. Even fear of surgery.
Hillywilly, I think you made the right choice. Any doubts are the common wtf did I do feelings. They'll fade with time as your body recovers & you adjust to the new you.

I know what you're going through, as with all of us that have an implant. I also know you're probably not going to want to hear this as im sure you've read, and obviously not believed, what most of us say. You're at 12 weeks, barely, if at all healed. Im assuming you could orgasm OK before the implant, and you were also sensate? Nerves from ANY surgery take at least 6 months to a year to heal and will maximise at 2 years with gradual recovery also possible after that.

For the first 6 months after my implant i woke up every day thinking WTF have i done. As you put it, it was just 2 cylinders and a pump. I was also an extreme grower before hand without much 'meat' so to speak around my corpora. When inflated it looked like just that, 2 cylinders, with very little 'aroused' feeling.

It took a lot of time to realise that arousal is completely different now and just because you can pump youre erection up, it doesnt mean youre aroused. Im 44 so it was like my body knew one arousal pattern for 30 or so years, now thats changed. Yeah youre right nothing will beat a natural working penis. But if you get an implant, guess what? It was no longer natural and working. You just need to give it time and learn your new normal.

If youre at a stage of getting an implant i wouldve hoped that youve exhausted all other methods of regaining your erection. If you didnt, then chose an implant and are unhappy, that is worth being upset over but again, this is now your reality.

The one caveat ill put is this. If good erections aren't necessary in your sex life ie: you want to retain full sensation and have erections that are OK most of the time, i wouldnt get an implant. Further to this, if you have total impotence ie: your glans doesnt swell either, and you expect an implant to solve all your problems, it wont. When i pump up my implant and i dont have arousal with no bloodflow to my glans, it is just an erection, that's it. I dont even get the feeling of wanting to use it for anything.

The cohort of men who have good glans bloodflow and arousal, have good sensation, and for whatever reason cant get an erection, an implant is almost perfect. I sincerely wish i hadve known about implants during this period of my life as it wouldve been a whole lot of fun!
As bad luck would have it i experienced a few medical issues that destroyed a lot of pelvic nerves in the process so i have to live with what i get, but thats certainly not everyone. Am i happy i got it done, absolutely as the alternative was worse....

The above rant aside, and this echoes the sentiment of many on here, exhaust all other means of getting erections before an implant, if youre still unhappy with the results, what other options do you have? Life sucks that you've been dealt this hand, but you midas well fix it if it means improving your quality of life. And there are many of men on here of whom suggest their implant was better for them than their natural penis. I cant see any reason for someone to lie about this.

thank you WatNext for your very comforting post, as I said before if things improve, much, I will be the first to change my mind, god knows how much I want to, most likely this is due to my dick still working on the pills with failures at the 30%, then I didn't have the chance to try the injections because in Italy there is no bi/tri/quadrimix, and there aren't even doctors who are dedicated to these therapies, I had to go directly to an implant, last night I had sex and I felt a much better sensitivity, both for the oral which bothered me before, yesterday I felt it much improved, and then during coitus I could not wait to reach orgasm before the discomfort could appear, I am managed to reach orgasm after about 15 minutes, I would have liked coitus to last at least twice as long, but the fear of not reaching orgasm took over and I let myself go, I hope it will improve even more, after sex I had pain along the shaft in the internal scrotum proximal, I hope that too will pass and not have it anymore after sexual intercourse
56, ED since 2010, pills work but not always and well, trt in progress improved but not so much, myocardial infarction january 2016, new stent september 2016, hypertension, venous on 1/23/23 titan one touch 22, no rte dottor Gabriele Antonini Italia
