Trimix-freeze or not to freeze

Postby Otter46 » Sat Apr 22, 2023 5:25 pm

Hi guys,

So I’ve read on FT where some guys freeze their Trimix & some just leave it in the fridge. I’ve filled 4-5 syringes when I get a new order & then freeze vial & syringes. And when those r gone, I take the vial out of the fridge, thaw it out & fill some more. What’s the verdict, freeze it or not?
So far seems to work ok, I get a rock hard hardon when I inject, but I will say I’m on 5mg Cialis which I take @ nite & when I’m contemplating sex the next day, I also take a 20mg Cialis along w it. So whether I’m getting hard because of the Trimix or the combo of both that & the Cialis.
Thanks much for anyones two cents.

I asked my urologist about this, He said there is no need to freeze Trimix and it will keep for a year in the refrigerator. As long as the medicine is clear it should be good.

I just read a report today about someone who used 2.5 year old bottle of Trimix kept in the refrigerator and said it worked as well as from a new bottle.

I freeze my trimix. Generally draw up 10 or 15 syringes and freeze them also and thaw out each dose as necessary. It only takes about 5 minutes to thaw completely in the syringe so its not a problem. I found one that was at least 2 1/2 years old a couple of weeks ago and it worked as well as fresh. I knew it was at least that old as I have changed strength since then and it was at the old size. Before I started freezing I noticed a decline in effect after 4 months in the friddge. YMMV

I froze 3 of four vials and one in the fridge. The one in the fridge started dropping efficacy after a couple of months where i needed to up the dose in order to get the same effect. That does not happen with the frozen ones. I dont use much which is why I keep it frozen. Currently I’m on vial 3 of 4 that i got in February of 2022. Kept frozen I still only need the original 5 units which lasts over 3 hours. Thats my experience.

It's the alprostadil that loses potency quickly when not frozen. If your tri-mix isn't really alprostadil dependent then alprostadil degradation won't really be noticed much if at all. I suspect that in a mix heavy with alprostadil you will notice degradation fairly rapidly.

Keep in mind I'm not a medical or pharmacological expert of any kind. I did not sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I make up several syringes and freeze them. I also freeze the bottle. No issues.

So Alprostadil should always be kept in the freezer and not the fridge?
How many hours can Alprostadil survive in room temperature if I wanna hook up with some girl and have a prefilled syringe with me? Does it lose efficacy in 2-3 hours or longer?
Venous like since I was 20 years old. Pills don't work too well. Thinking of implant in the future

I think you'll be fine. As for how many times it can be carried on a date night that doesn't result in it's use, with refrigeration in between date nights, well that would be the real question. And I don't have that answer.
