Surgery in 2 weeks

Postby indeed » Thu Apr 27, 2023 7:28 am

Hello friends

The time has almost come. On May 10 i'll get implanted by Dr. Clavell. Im travelling from Switzerland and plan on flying back 2 days after surgery.
I'll try to make journal and note all the things i'd like to have known, so maybe it will help someone.

I'm really worried how my outcome is gonna be cause i still have some other issues with my dick, not just ED. First of all i think i got quite a bit of scar tissue since a few months and i feel like i lost around 0.5 cm of lenth and some girth at the base. I hope Clavell can stretch that since it has been so recent. We'll see.

I'm super worried, cause even now before surgery, sometimes my dick gets cold and overly blood empty when i'm stressed or sometimes just randomly. Other times it's warm and full. I can still get "decent" erections though. I'm scared i'll end up with a cold dick, as there is some issue with my "non erect" bloodflow. But i have no choice anymore, the scarring is getting worse. I need the implant. I lived very sedentary since my dick issues cause i was depressed af. Maybe some of the cold dick issues comes from that. I plan on going hard on cardio after i'm healed, to see if i still can improve some bloodflow.

I'll keep you guys posted

Cheers

You are in excellent hands with Dr. Clavell. A number of us here on the forum had our implants done by him and report consistently good experiences. The nerve block he administers will serve you well on your flight home to Switzerland. Our forum member Tokyo_123 flew from Houston to Tokyo on his 3rd day postop and reported that he was comfortable the entire flight.

You’ve got some things you need to attend to.

Regarding the blood flow issue, there are few if any doctors here on the forum. Just guys with opinions and whatever understanding they have obtained through experience and individual research. Much of this advice is indeed well-considered and helpful, even accurate, but not always. My own opinion is that because you report “some” blood flow down below you have cause for optimism. Perhaps viagra/cialis will help you maintain it, or perhaps some work with a vacuum device…..but nobody but your doctor can answer this question for you.

Your depression. This is worthy of its own thread and is uniquely experienced by every sufferer. I’ve dealt with it in my lifetime. Is your depression, in your opinion, caused by your ED? Or, are you generally depressed and your ED a symptom of that? You are on the right track by acknowledging your depression and being open here. Can’t fix a problem unless we acknowledge there is a problem. For me, reading certain philosophical and psychological self-help books helped a great deal. DM me if you want my suggested reading. A good therapist can help along with compassionate friends me family. Hopefully you have someone close that you love/respect and trust.

Finally, if you haven’t already read it, take the time to read on of the finest articles ever written by a forum member her. “Tangerine”. This article is what cemented my decision to move forward. I’m 4 months postop now. Happy. Here’s the article:

That is one heck of a trip to get an implant. Best of luck. Looks like you have one of the top docs.
As far as the cold dick, there are way too many things that might cause that to even begin to guess. Mine feels cool at times but it doesn't affect how it works.

Thanks Captain. My bloodflow is actually pretty good when aroused, just in flaccid state it sometimes is cold and weird. But i don't have choice anyway. I'll talk with Clavell labout it before surgery. I'll definetly continue the viagra after the implant tho!

My depression is 100% and solely from the ED. I never ever was depressed before. I've had this for 2 years and it has damaged other aspects in my life, but i'm 100% confident that if i can get a good implant result, i'll be super happy instantly. I can overcome all other problems with ease as long as my body is whole again.

Thanks a lot for your advice. I pray this is all gonna go well and i can go to the best country in the world ( Thailand ;)) in September again.

Cheers

I did. I'm sure he is a great surgeon, but i've read some stories about people being undersized by him. Never heard that about Clavell.
Also, I just feel more confident with Clavell after talking to both.

Cheers
