Thailand bound makes a very good point about your true pre op size and your pre ED size.
This isn’t aimed at you or anyone in particular, but it amazes me how many guys on here claim to have been 6-8 inches pre surgery, even though most of not all had either had Peyronies or ED for a number of years which as we all know, both contribute to penis shrinkage.
That said, you are only 6 weeks out, and you have barely begun cycling. You WILL get bigger. How much bigger depends on what your honest true size was pre op and how vigorously you cycle over the next 6 months.
My experience was this. I went from being 7.5 inches pre Peyronies to a shade under 5.5 inches pre op. At 6 weeks I was a similar size to you, a tad over 4.5 inches. I started to cycle at 7 weeks and over the coming months I could visibly see my new toy increasing in size. Now, at 14 months out I have just broken the 6 inch mark, I am girthier than I was pre op AND pre Peyronies and I could not be happier.
Good luck!

Implanted by Mike Fraser in feb 2022 due to a 80 degree dorsal curvature. 18cm Titan - way undersized. 8’ pre Peyronies, 6’ pre implant - currently 6’.
Re: Lost 2 full inches
I have no idea of what my post-ed measurement was, just my pre-ed one. I didn't really wanna think about my failed dick. Immediately PO 5.5"x5 5" is what i had, at 2mo roughly I've regained back about .5-.75". Think some is swelling of the pubis area and base of shaft... And some stretching of tunica. Hoping to get a full 1" back plus weight loss should put me around my max size.

What kind of incision did you get? Scrotal or pubic.
What kind of implant? AMS? Titan?
What size cylinders?
Were you using a VED everyday while you had ED and in preparation for the implant?
Hello. Thank you everyone for your responses. I will go through and answer any questions that I can. My doctor is a top rated urologist in Central Florida. Ill be honest, maybe I am stupid and naive, but I didn't know all of the information on this page before surgery. I didn't find FrankTalk until I was recovering. I wish I found it sooner!
-I researched my doctor as an overall urologist. I didn't know where to find penile implant reviews. I searched but I obviously didn't know the right places to look
-I got a scrotal incision. The whole process with the doctor was very odd and the information he told me was inaccurate. We discussed in his office if I wanted the incision at the top of my shaft or bottom. We agreed bottom is much better but to my surprise, I work up from surgery with it in my scrotum. The incision is just fine, but I was upset how the information was wrong.
-Before my surgery, I really didn't know their were options in implants. I know its an AMS700 but I dont know model beyond that.
-I have no clue what size cylinders. The whole process was very difficult for me and he assured me that he would stretch it as far as it can go.
-I didn't not use VED. I didn't not hear about it until after the surgery. I have different opinions if I should use it while cycling or not.

Lost Sheep wrote:Welcome to the forum, JasonFL4678. Sorry to hear of your disappointment. I sincerely hope it is not permanent.
My experience was that my surgeon left me 80% inflated after surgery and dropped that to about 75% before I left the hospital (on day one). I was 6 inches erect (substantial stimulation with oral medication help) the week before surgery and I retained that size immediately (after recovering for a couple weeks). Those weeks were maintained at 75% inflated.
What degree of inflation were you after the surgery? If not close to maximum, you will experience some shrinkage which will be temporary. Breaking up the scar tissue encapsulation (which begins to form immediately post-op) will be uncomfortable, but a few months of cycling your implant from 0% to 100% can break up/stretch the capsule and restore your natural length and girth.
The surgeon measures the inside length of your penis (stretching it quite aggressively with the measuring tool) distally and proximally, then adds them together to determine the size of the implant. This should be written up in the operating report. Absent arithmetic error or mis-reading of the instructions on the implant (both egregious and rare events), your implant should be able to render your original length after cycling.
Some surgeons leave their patients pretty much uninflated (so a scar tissue capsule does not form around the reservoir, which would make deflation difficult) and others leave their patients well-inflated to make early activation and cycling easier. Did you ask your surgeon which approach he used with you?
Do you have the AMS LGX or CX? Just the AMS 700 does not tell me.
I am no medical professional but this lay opinion is supported by a LOT of testimony from men on this forum over several years.
Thank you for all of this! I couldn't find much info pre-suregey. My Dr. said that I would be 50-60% inflated after surgery, so when I saw my penis, I was optimistic. But when I finally inflated it completely, it didn't get any bigger, just harder. Also, I didn't know that there are different models. The brochure I have with the pump just says AMS700.

Dr. Perito says that "the day of your last erection is the day your dick starts to shrink". Is the size measurement you mentioned really what you were on the day of your surgery or your recollection of times past?
The stretch test, prior to surgery, is a good indicator of what you should expect. Did your doctor give your flaccid a hard tug, holding the glans, and stretch it out before your surgery? If so, that's what you can expect. As another member here mentioned, you are 6 weeks post op. I'm 4 months postop. I didn't lose 2 inches, but i lost some and was quite alarmed at 6 weeks. At 4 months, I can cycle such that i can pump not one iota more and my length has almost returned to normal. I expect a bit further increase as time goes on, but even at this point, i not only notice the difference between week 6 and now, but am most satisfied.
-Thank you for your response. The size that I measured was a few weeks before surgery. I was able to get erections still with injections. It was, and always has been, a true 6.5 inches.
-My Dr. did not tug it or mention this process.

You should have gotten paper work (cards) indicating exactly what was installed. Look up Boston scientific. Manufacture of the 700 lgx. They have regional representatives that will get you those cards sent to you.Ask Boston scientific for the phine # of the rep. Boston scientific gets $12000.00 for the device so they give lots of support. Better yet! I looked up the phone # for you. Penile implant support 844-433-2873. Give them the date of your surgery and your surgeons name and hospital. They will have the records.

JasonFL4678 wrote:Hello everyone. I am a 42 yr old man who has been dealing with ED since I was 20 years old. I finally came to the realization after popping Viagra like M&Ms and injecting medication into my penis both started to fail, I needed another solution. I got the AMS700 implant 6.5 weeks ago. I have been reading posts on here for the past couple months, and it has really made me feel like a solution is out there. The overwhelmingly majority of comments say how happy that the man and his partner are post surgery. Well, I am on the other side of the spectrum. Speaking with a friend who has the implant and reading here, I expected a 1 cm-0.5 inch loss in length. I saw some saying as much as 2cm. The nurse in my office said I shouldn't lose length and I may increase in girth. My doctor also said on 2 occasions that it may "appear" smaller, so a minimal reduction was expected.
My doctor told me not to touch the pump for 6 weeks, so at 6 weeks I pumped it up myself before my appointment and was insanely dissatisfied. I was 6.5 inches pre surgery and its only 4.5-4.7 now. I tried having sex with my girl and it was a disaster. She was trying to be supportive, but we both couldn't believe it. I had to alter every position because it wouldn't reach or would fall out. The pump is handing very low and in front of my left testicle. In my 6 week appointment today, my Dr. just told me that I need to stay positive and start cycling everyday, and we will reassess in 3 months. He did mention the possibility of a revision surgery with another Dr. if things dont improve.
It is hard to stay positive after dealing with ED for decades and then making the very hard decision to go ahead with surgery. I am glad that there is a possibility for it to get better, but I dont know how I could accept losing a third of my length ( I never measured girth but its much smaller too). I expected a long road but this will be a much longer path than expected to potentially achieve a positive result. Has anyone had or hear of a similar experience?
And thank you for being a resource to help naviagte a very sensitive and difficult situation.
Who is your doctor? a high volume penile implanter? 6 weeks is a long rest period but your dick may recover and grow start daily cycling immediatley.
If you did not seek a high volume penile implanter the first time its time to immediately have a consult with one of them ASAP. You may need to fly out or send video to show them your concern about undersizing but it's definitely a problem you want to fix sooner than later
