One shaft folded over completely?
9 mo out. Everything working great then this morning I go to inflate, and it feels like one shaft is trying to fill but is folded in half! Other shaft fills normally...WTF

Re: One shaft folded over completely?
Did you try squeezing the folder cylinder? Sometimes they get kinked up like a garden hose and you just need to squeeze it a bit where the saline gets stuck.
Titan OTR. Dr. Hakky - successful surgery and very happy with outcome.
My advice: choose a world-class surgeon and make yourself the healthiest you can.

Re: One shaft folded over completely?
I think cnidium has a good idea. I will expand with my own thoughts
There are the tips of the implant cylinders? If they are both in the glans, that is good. If evenly in the glans, even better.
Observe this When inflated and when deflated.
Manipulate the implant cylinders when they are deflated. Do they seem uniformly installed in the full length of your penis? Are they side-by-side and do not cross left-to-right? Is your urethra between and below them, especially when you inflate?
Is the fold proximal (closer to you belly) or distal (closer to the tip of your penis)? Does the fold go away when you are inflated and reappear when you deflate?
All these question are more relevant if you can get the folding cylinder to fill by any means necessary. If you cannot, see the manufacturer's patient liaison and your surgeon as soon as you can.

Sorry but your description seems a little vague to me.
If the tips in your glans are even then I think the proximal end is the issue. Hopefully you can get this resolved.
We do have a frequent posting member that had some kind of proximal sling repair. Hopefully he'll give consent to bring you up to date of how his problem was presented & the steps to fix it.

Well Fu@k!
I messed with it trying hard to get the tip back to the top. And I succeeded! EXCEPT the implant is OUTSIDE my corpora!!!
I think it must have torn the area where the tube enterers and the device was protruding out of that space (like a hernia) and now it is completely OUTSIDE (pinched between the outer skin and the exterior of my penis (like where the Penumbra would be installed?)
Surprisingly not that painful (yes it still inflates) ...but is this a simple revision? seems they could just poke it back, check and inflate, then stich the "hernia" where it came through?

Re: One shaft folded over completely?
If it was proximal then a "sling" repair might be in order. I would guess that a similar repair is needed for the distal tips. I don't think a simple stitching would work. I'm thinking that the existing tissue might be thin. That could be why it failed.
I'm not any kind of medical person so I'm guessing on this. Most likely the repair can be done through an incision just under your glans. Again, just guessing. The surgeon would most likely at least replace the offending cylinder. Drs can be a little superstitious about a prosthesis getting compromised during an event like this.
Good news, I remember a member whose tips "twisted". Searching by twisted or crossed over might find him. I think his correction was kind of uneventful. But be prepared for some recovery time.
Wish you the best of luck. Keep the members apprised of what you find to help others in the future.

You need to get in as fast as you can. That tear where the cylinder exited through can seal flat distal to the tear and then not be able to be opened. Do not inflate until you talk to your doctor and they may tell you not to inflate until repair can be made. If the tear is still open and has not healed shut it is the simple repair as you say. A suture will be used to go up through the top of the glans as is done with any other implant and you will have the snake eyes again. The corpora will be closed or it might require a graft. This is with my understanding of your post that the tear is at the base of your shaft where the tubing enters the corpora to connect to the cylinder. This differs from a proximal repair. A proximal repair is really difficult to get to. And can cause a large amount of risk to repair with surgery unlike a distal perforation. In the event of a distal perforation and flattening and healing shut of the corpora a deglove can be done and a graft can be made to create a sleeve to hold the cylinder. A search can be done for distal perforation for information on this. The thing is to not inflate and get in as soon as possible so the inflated cylinder does not press the corpora flat and it heals shut. It can still be repaired but is a much more involved surgery with much longer healing time.
Good luck and get to see your doctor asap.

Re: One shaft folded over completely?
let us know what you find out man! Good luck, this is my concern, my tips are not even (vertical or horizontal axis) and moves between limp (1-2cm difference in tip height) and erect (close to lined up.) There's also a very soft spot on the right that doesn't feel like the cylinder is behind the corp but behind skin. Doctor didn't seem concerned at 2mo follow up and I'll check with him at next follow up again about it (no pain or failure of function.) The tip I can feel under the glans though and its... bothersome.

Not to alarm...but that is exactly what mine was doing...almost like one side would shrink more the the other when deflated and then it would poke against the side. I think that weakened the area?
