Don't put a lot of thinking into this. Your scrotum skin contracts due to what it sees as an injury. That makes it a bit hard to find all the features of the pump so you can start pumping & deflating.
My drs nurse had absolutely no trouble finding the deflate button on my AMS pump. Use a bath or hot pad to learn where everything is.
Once the scrotum skin gets over the trauma you won't need any heat to find the deflate button. Btw, the inflate button it hard to miss. But the deflate button is VERY VERY important.
