I also am having replacement surgery on the 22 of June.
My bulb refuses to inflate and goes flat after one pump.
Only have had it for about 2 1/2 years.
I think it's a bad pump but the are replacing the whole thing..
Dr. Said they may upsize me a bit.
Issue started about six weeks ago. Prior to that zero issues.
Don't know why they don't just replace the pump, I would think it would be a lot easier to recover from but oh well here we go, round two coming up!

The bulb going flat after 1 or 2 pumps means there isn't enough fluid in the system, ie the reservoir is empty or you've pumped all there is out. Mine showed that at first, simple CT scan showed all the fluid had leaked out. Unknown why, but it would have to be a leak in the reservoir, the tubes, or pump. When they tell me what went wrong I'll post it. If it's been implanted 2 or more years it's always best to just replace it all to be sure you got the whole issue fixed, be a pain in the rear to change the pump and find out you had a leak in the reservoir or tubes and then have to go back in again. Mine being so new ( just over 2 weeks before it failed ) they want to pull the whole thing to figure out what went wrong, Boston Scientific who makes the AMS has requested they send it back afterwards as well so they can try and figure out the issue as well and hope that it's just a one off defect and not a batch default requiring a recall.

Hope they can upsize you, every little bit helps. And hope you don't have any other issues.

Sorry to say this, but I'm hoping your surgeon inadvertently hit a tube with a scalpel.

Good Luck I'll be watching for your update. I had my implant installed 2/21/2020 & if failed 5/1/2023. Rigdht now all that happens when I pump one of ttwothen goes flat & I hear air.

Going for revison on the 10th of july had mine 6 years loved it loved the flacid look in
the locker room where ever didnt have a hard on full time looking fowrad to the new one im ecticed to get back in the saddle again wouldnt change a thing

Hi John, hope they are able to get this ironed out.

I had a similar experience with my first implant, after few weeks became exceedingly difficult to inflate. I had some mild Peyronie's before, but not being able to fully inflate really made things worse not only with my relationship with my wife, but also shrinking of the penis. It was really frustrating as this was touted as the "cure." This occurred just prior to COVID therefore, I was not able to get in soon enough for a revision (initial plan was for pump revision only as the positioning was off). By that time, I had decided to relocate to Southern California. I tried to work with the original surgeon, but we just didn't have a great working relationship and as with many of the surgeons I had met with pre-op in the Northeast, an "ego." Ultimately saw a few local surgeons in LA and Orange County, but finally it was Dr. Patel in San Diego that spent the time explaining to me what may have been going on, rather than "lets go to surgery and we will figure it out." I had a CT scan on two occasions that showed fluid in the reservoir and no obvious leak.

Dr. Patel explained that it may be twisting of one of the cylinders within the corpora - there was some suggestion on MRI he ordered (which they performed both deflated and as inflated as I could get it) and no one else seemed to pick up on this. I decided to undergo revision surgery (both cylinders and pump were exchanged with Dr. Patel). He also performed some relaxing incisions to fix the residual curve and upsize my device. Everything is fantastic now and penis gets rock hard. Both the wife and I are so excited and I was able to start using implant within 4 weeks of my surgery.

Glad you got sorted out. Luckily I don't have peronies, my ED was caused when I had back surgery - I had bone spurs going every which way in my nerves and spinal cord and they had to stretch the spinal cord and nerves around in order to chisel out the spurs. They warned me at the time I would have to watch out for issues down there because they had to stretch those nerves and may have gotten too close on some of them. So I've had 4 back surgeries to date ( over 12 years ) and have from L2 through S1 fused and lamenectomies through the same area. Been on Trimix close to 10 years and it got to the point where it was hit or miss if it would work and then for only a short time 30 minutes or so, so Dr said it was past time for me to get the implant.
