My first deflation
My first deflation
My first deflation was yesterday. I coudnt deflate yo full I deflated and was erect around 20%. The problem im facing is my pump is stuck to the scrotum sideways. It’s no way accessible to reach the deflate button it’s behind both my testicles and the only way to reach is my scrotum bring 100 percent relaxed using two hands. Every-time I try to reach it it’s like a battle. I am now pumped around 40%. Im taking hot shower every 6 hours applying heat pack to my scrotum but it’s not helping. It’s almost 5 weeks and I haven’t started cycling.

Re: My first deflation
Have you reached out to Dr. Clavell? It sounds like something he would give quick feedback on.

Re: My first deflation
I note you’re exactly 1 month postop. I wonder why you wer given the green light at 4 weeks to cycle versus the customary 6 weeks for the rest of us Clavellians?
At 1 month out i was still inflated to 60% and it was only then that i even considered TOUCHING the pump. I never fiddled with it, squeezed it, nothing. At one month i finally mustered up the nerve to very gently touch it and gently hold it between my index finger and thumb. Didn’t dream of squeezing it. I still had soreness in my scrotum as well. I think it would have hurt to cycle.
At 4 weeks i began walking daily. Started at 1 mile and was at 3 miles by the 10th day. I think that walking helps loosen up the scrotum due to the movement. If you’re not physically active, i’d suggest getting those legs moving.
At 6 weeks i began cycling. Dr. C said to deflate first. It took a few tries to find the bar, some courage to squeeze it (didn’t hurt nearly like i thought) and we were off to the races.
Now 5 months postop. Pumping and deflating daily is easy now.
You’ve got a ways to go. Dr C has seen it all. Let us know what he tells you.
