Update 6-5-2023.

I sometimes had trouble with the deflate button. So, my solution might help you.

Make sure your fingers are smooth and soft. No rougness (callouses, cuticles, etc) and your fingernails trimmed and filed smooth. Figure out what hand position gives you the best pinch strength and apply that position to the valve body with the deflate button under the finger/thumb that can give the most concentrated pressure. For me, it is the tip of my forefinger with the back of the valve body against the heel of my hand where the thumb joins the heel. This gives the most pressure on the button and locks the valve body in place so it does not shift around.

Once you have depressed the button deeply enough to start the deflation process (and felt the click of the valve shifting to deflate mode) you can release the button. Deflation will continue, aided by squeezing your penis once pressure between resevoir and implant has equalized. If the valve did not shift to deflate mode you need to keep the button depressed for deflation to continue, so try to make sure you felt that click.
